Dammit, Mumei actually posting in here and showing an intereat makes me way more sympathetic to the anti-c-w*rd initiative. I'm going to have to stop whining about it soon. :(

JT is a more vulgar thing to be called anyway.

How reliable is Greg Stobart?
Have rumours about Llorente going to Arsenal with RVP's money calm down?

Can we not refer to SAF using that awful name. It's the worst thing I've seen in Football-GAF ever.

Worse than all the Newcastle underrating!

Will Keane and that lad from Chile have more chance of making it as a United first-team striker than Macheda. He's an impressive striker of the ball, but his technical qualities and sparse movement off-the-ball has been found out.

Expect Berbasex will be let go shortly and free up the no. 9 for RVP.

I think it should be brought to @Mumei's attention and any other mods that the whole 'Fagie' or 'Fagsun' reference is due to the amusing misspelling of names on Man Utd's Facebook page by foreign fans, not as some slur.

Hope that engenders a bit of understanding at least.

Take it with a pinch of salt then!

The Dutchman is due in Manchester for a medical on Thursday afternoon before he puts pen to paper on a four-year contract understood to be worth £235,000-a-week once image rights are taken into account.

Yeah I know that, but the man has been knighted. His title is Sir Alex Ferguson.

Wow this whole time I had never even made that connection myself. I always assume its some Asian dude at the keyboard and poorly typing it out, because when you phoneticize "er" in most Chinese-derived languages it sounds like a flat "a"

I don't know what you guys are talking about. When I call him "fagie" it's absolutely an insult.

Sky Sports News are stalking Van Persie for the day, apparently.
:lol what's the latest?

Fergie says they are discussing terms with his agent at the moment. Perfect time to ruin the transfer, right Clegg? :p

Rumours Gill has said we're still in for 1 more player. Newcastle have Anita so maybe it's Tiote?

He arrived at the airport and the club sent a car for him, he should be in Manchester soon and apparently, personal terms are a "formality".

He was looking stylish as fuck.

Fergie's a proper Scottish socialist though. I'd be surprised if he minded people dropping the honorary confection, so long as the intention isn't to provision disrespect.

Personally, I always find it comical listening to the obnoxious lording and sirrahing of The Apprentice UK. Sugar certainly takes his ego with a dose of ego. Not quite as towering as Trump's rug of course.

All his donations to New Labour in 90s and 00s makes me think he's not as socialistic as you think.

I don't! Just he did have a very good record, he's got 2 things wrong lately so he's on strike 2.

Hernandez's agent has rubbished reports of the transfer request. Wonder why there has been no further news on Henriquez yet..

Jamie Jackson from the Guardian said that no deal with Henriquez has been finalised and that hes gone back to Chile.

Think City might be trying to gazump us.

It is at this point that Ferguson looks carefully at the fine print, this time with his glasses on, and realizes there's a 300% agent fee on top of the transfer fund. Van Persie starts sweating as he realizes his agent has been found out, and as his body heats up from the anxiety, the glue holding the remaining scraps of cartilage in his body begins to melt away. Then he looks at the very last term on the contract that he's already signed where it says "NO RETURNS."

Sir Alex is a champagne socialist if there ever was one.

RVP arrived at the airport? When I put it on SSN this morning they said he was at St Pancras and was driving up to Manchester.

But then who was airport?

Anyone going to hook the Jeffdawg up with the code for the free FF league

Whoever does it can pick my premier league team to support on gaf this year

We all know you'll be supporting Liverpool, and more specifically, Suarez.

Yes, I recently learned about you guys and Twitter.

To be fair, it's only during the transfer silly season. Once the football starts, it'll be pages of ":lolerpool" and "ROOOOOONNNEEEY".

Just caught the news and there was a story about a guy with Locked-In Syndrome.

Wikipedia'd it and it terrifies me. I then read a paragraph on Gary Parkinson;

In 2010, ex-premiership footballer Gary Parkinson suffered a massive stroke and was later diagnosed with Locked-in Syndrome. This has however not ended his career in football as he is now part of Middlesbrough F.C.'s scouting analysis team, watching potential players on DVD and relaying the verdict to the Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray solely through blinking.

The Coldplay kicking in in Cold Feet
after the car crash

Tears. I choked up. Coldplay shouldn't do that to a grown man.

We need to recycle the Hargreaves song with RVP, just change "I want curly hair too" to "I want silver hair too".

Robinn Van Perssieeee, you are the love of my life...

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly is a pretty terrifying (yet beautiful) account of a man with locked-in syndrome.
