Respect.

The whole thing's messier than an Andres/Wilbury climax.

What's your opinion in Halsey's performance yesterday.

2 yellows or 2 reds.

If Liverpool had someone gone, Evans should have gone.

My call, given the size of the match and the occasion and the fact it will always be a rough and tumble affair. I would have booked both with a severe warning. The only reason really why Evans got injured to an extent was his two footed lunge meaning he had no control of himself either.

Liverpool got fucked over though.

edit: Being liverpool - Rodgers said that carroll is a valued player and will only leave the club if it makes sense for both the club and the player and if its a big deal.

A loan deal to west ham aint a big deal ;)

Well Rodgers got to bullshit, can't sit and say for rolling cameras they are trying to get him out if they end up not getting him out.

Mods trying to take away our bulges.

They can take away our freedom, they can take away our penis bulges, but they can NEVER take away our premier ass.

What did you make of the Agger wrestle, Suarez dive/foul and Valencia foul/dive?

That bit with Flanagan was quite creepy.
It really was, makes it worse that it sounds like he's whispering.

My view of it too.

Also because Shelvey (although straightforwardly going for the ball, fair play) came a little more directly at Evans. Coming in on the angle didn't help him, even if it did mean that Halsey got a clearer look at Evans.

Both reckless twats. Even less point in throwing yourself in for the ball if the first thing we were going to do with it was lump it 50 yards to nobody.

Halsey made another mistake by not booking Shelvey for a very late and high tackle on Rafael.

I don't think Shelvey deserved a straight red really, but he definitely made 2 yellow card worthy challenges.

For him to have then stormed off telling Ferguson "that was you, you did that". Well, sorry Jonjo, listen to your manager and stay on your feet.

Funny thing is it all came about due to Giggs being slow and ponderous on the ball.

May not have done. Just saying, whilst Halsey made a bad call in giving him the straight red, he also made a bad one and let Shelvey off easier early on.

Obv two wrongs don't make a right, refs should never look to level decisions up. But Shelvey tends to be quite wreckless - sometimes you will be let off and sometime you'll get a harsh decision. Better off for him to calm down and improve his tackling.

Funny thing is, it seems entirely plausible that Fergissa will set us up with Giggs/Carrick against capable sides later on in the season.

It seems astonishing to contemplate, but the utter fucking poverty of imagination and will and strength and facility that combination produces might not have convinced him that it was a bad idea.

Summon him, Fugusn.

Probably. I could tell instantly it was going to be a serious challenge, you can see it in their movement and in their face.

Its what we are taught to look for.

PS. Shelveys rant will add at least a week to the ban i think. :| Reacting after red cards is a big no no.

The FA could potentially investigate the Evans challenge. it depends on if halsey mentions it in his report. If he does not, the FA can take action.

edit: Also, for the first time ever i think Suarez deserved a penalty yesterday. poor bugger.

Rumours about United going after Viktor Fischer.

Normally I'd say its just tabloid bollocks but he's a striker so the story is probably true.

Arsenal-GAF - when are Szceznccncnecnezny and Sagna expected back?

Confuziz - how's Strootman doing?

He was incredible yesterday. Van bommel was suspended (already 5 yellow lol) and he picked up his job as a controlling/defending midfielder. I hope he can continue this good form.

I just played the second PC PES 2013 demo for the first time, having had almost no experience of the new game other than Woodenlung's posts; it was certainly weird. Controls seemed to have changed quite a bit, though it didn't help that the controller I use seems to be mapped slightly differently to the standard 360 controller.

Demo opened asking me to play this training mode to get used to the new controls. Nice idea, but terrible execution. Partly my controller may have been at fault, but generally the guidance to perform the new controls is absolutely baffling and the mode could be much better done. So I soon quit this mode and went to the game proper.

First thing I noticed was the hilarious ratings, playing as Juve had Krasic as 88 (making him their best winger) and Melo at 87 (equal to Vidal, a but worse than Marchisio & Pirlo). Also Lucio at 89. Anyways, going into the game, things did seem different, better than previously but the short time I played made it difficult to draw any real conclusions. Still it was certainly good enough that I will swerve FIFA once again.

I love wearing tight work pants, walking around in the office, it attracts many stares, and in meetings, a lot of women gaze into its might until I make eye contact with them.

Ditto. Fuck that.

Game in general is quite good, though. I got done by Wigan (I think it was Wigan) once or twice before I got my act together.

Funny you should connect the two, Quagliarella and lying. I was once in the same car with Quagliarella (I work for a casino, he was a guest). His girlfriend (I think) called and he was bullshiting her that he was in Milano, doing nothing, and that the weather was just fine ... when in fact he was some 500km away in another country, gambling. I was sitting in the front, he was in the back, I looked in the rearviewmirror and he had that iconic neapolitan shit eating gring going on. He winked at me and I made an 'oh you' face. We've been great friends ever since. True story.
Except the friends part.

How good was Gerrard yesterday? That dick is always immense against us. Luckily this time his heroics were outdone by Halsey :D

Needs to be rested for all games other than tough FA Cup and league matches, especially if he's gonna carry on with England. We can't force him to retire from the national setup, but we can limit his gametime, and unless he's an idiot he'll understand why
