I just think its hilarious the lengths Arsenal fans are going to, to justify Giroud as their frontman. "He comes with hope not hype." I'd love to hear how you can possibly distinguish hype and hope in this instance.

There is a huge difference between hype and hope. Hype is when you naturally expect things to happen, it's a shock to the system when they don't happen. Something that is boosted up, ala RVP last season and Fabregas seasons before that. With Giroud that is just not there, we all hope he will succeed, but he doesn't have the hype. Not at all.

lol Brøndby were hours from going bankrupt in September when they hadn't paid a company what they owed them for months, the company was full of old Copenhagen bosses so they ended up filing the bankruptcy papers but a boardmember ended up paying for the club, at that point the papers had already been sent to court but guess they cancelled it when they paid in the last moments. Can't be long now.

Looking forward to United vs Arsenal. I remember last years game was incredible. Need arsenal to win or get a draw though after united beat us last weekend.

Don't see that happening though.

Anyone here into betting on horse racing?

I'm not, but my Uncle is big into betting on horses, he even works for the Racing Post. He has won thousands and thousands betting on horses, on several occasions he has pulled in £25'000+ bets. Definitely where the 'money' is in gambling on sports.

Sir Alex Ferguson's programme notes start today with: "I don't often feel great sympathy for referees..." Who is he discussing next?
Ferguson on Clatternburg: "He was pilloried and didn't deserve it. In my mind the officials made 2 mistakes, one that went against us..."
"And one that did us a huge favour and I don't hold either either error against them." Felt Torres should have seen red for Cleverley foul.
Ferguson felt the failure to send off Torres was balanced out by Hernandez's offside goal for Man Utd's winner. #bbcfootball

Rage quit on Fifa just now, won't play it ever again. You don't get rewarded by being good on this shit. You just get beaten by cunts that barely know how to do anything else other than 1-2's.

I should have bought Halo 4 instead. Well, gonna play some RE4 and MGS HD collection in the meanwhile. And maybe finish Lost Odyssey.

I've lost count of how many times I've said this. Now, while Halo 4 installs, I really want a quick game of FIFA before I start beautifying myself.

FIFA online is really, really shit. Local multiplayer is the only way to go, no lag and you can physically slap people using cheap tactics. When I play FIFA I want something that feels like real football not lofted through balls to Ronaldo x 1000.

You're never going to get real football in a video game.

Okay good time to ask, is it just my bias or is Ronaldo way too good in FIFA? He is way better than Messi in it I know that.

No but if you play locally with friends you can get something that is slightly closer to football than the shit you see online. Every online match feels like you're playing this team:

Ronaldo
Ronaldo Ronaldo Ronaldo
Song Song
Song Song Song Song
Casillas

Manager: Alex McLeish

No, I'm telling ya. I'm not playing it again. I'll have a much better life without Fifa.

Less stress, less wasted time in front of television. Time seems to fly away when you're stuck with that pile of crap.

I think it's the best Fifa ever made, but at the same time it is the worst online experience they can offer. No balance whatsoever. You don't need to be good at it, or even put an effort to win matches.

I see my quotes in the match program have been received well.

It's not so simple unfortunately. Big wins are quite rare and in fact I believe the majority of his earnings don't even come from winning bets, I believe he makes the majority of his money through some kind of odds trading thing like he'll make an early bet on a horse and then if the odds are slashed sell on the bet or something. I don't really know the specifics, but it's a full time thing to make it work.

Fabrice Muamba is on Football Focus today. It's great to see him, I still can't believe all that happened last season.
