Thanks man - that's pretty cool though. What is it that you're doing and what sort of stuff are you looking at if you don't mind me asking? I know what my "ideal" sort of jobs are, I think, but the competition would be so fierce - I live in the wrong part of the country as well so it's all one big concerted effort that I need.

No worries mate. I'm a trainee solicitor at the moment in Personal Injury. Hate it though, don't get anything out of it, and there is basically zero chance of me transferring my training contract to a different firm or getting the chance to specialise in anyone else.

The jobs I'm looking at are more IT orientated. The business I've started is with my girlfriend's dad, and specialises in converting websites to be viewable on mobile devices like iPhones. It's a slow starter, but I enjoy the work and I have faith it will come good.

Job market sucks though. Really sucks pretty much everywhere.

I'm looking into stuff like theatre and tv work - I LOVE the idea of being involved in original productions of stuff; be it writing, directing, producing etc I need to get to London for it though - we have one theatre where I live and it's all volunteers. We have one radio station but that's only on air for like 5 hours a day and run by three people!
