Sky is reporting that we'll go after Jackson Martinez after the Balo deal is done. Can't say I'd dislike him. Not at all. Won't happen though.

I'm genuinely curious to see what Rodgers will do with him. Conte too. It's going to be a fun year for him, it really is his last chance.

No he's not. Never understood where this came from.

He's talented sure. He's not some kind of ridiculously amazingly never before seen natural talent though.

When he was 18 he was already fully developed. Football came so easy to him and he had a physique very few could match. He could do anything on the football pitch and he has shown that when he is even remotely interested he is unplayable.

The list so far...

Racked up £10,000 in parking fines and had his car impounded 27 times.
Threw darts at youth team players.
Paid for 24 homeless people to stay at the Hilton on New Years Eve.
Won £25,000 in a casino and gave £1,000 to a tramp outside as he liked his hair and beard.
Handed out £50 notes to people in Manchester town center dressed as Santa.
Threw tomatoes at a Serie A manager.
Threw water balloons at a Serie A meeting.
Started a fight with 4 bouncers after breaking the no touching rule at a strip club.
Bibotelli saga.
Took his iPad on the bench with him.
Let fireworks off out of his bathroom window which set his house on fire.
'Why Always Me?' celebration against Utd.
Had a £120,000 Audi R8 imported and wrote it off within a week.
Had his friends approach girls in a club and tell them 'Balotelli will see you now'.
Sent to John Lewis by his mother to buy essentials for the house like an ironing board but came back with a giant trampoline, 2 Vespa Scooters, scalectrix and a table tennis table.
Started fights with Kompany, Boateng, Richards and Tevez in training.
Went on TV in an AC Milan shirt with his name on the back while at Inter.
Sent off for Italy U21's and proceeded to sit on the floor ignoring the players, managers and referee.
Live on TV after the FA Cup final and said 'This season I have been shit. Can I say that?'
Was stopped by police driving round Hulme in his Maserati with £25,000 cash on the passenger seat. When asked why he said 'Because I'm rich'.
Had to go off at half time in a game in Ukraine due to an allergy to the pitch.
Had to be physically hauled away by Javier Zanetti for refusing to let Samuel Eto'o take a penalty that he had won.
Once broke up with a girlfriend via text while she was presenting a live TV show.
Slept with a model while his girlfriend was asleep downstairs.
Stood up in the middle of exclusive posh restaurant San Carlo and shouted Rooney Rooney Rooney at Jenny Thompson a girl who was supposed to have been Wayne's hooker.
Went to a pub in Peel Hall, Wythenshawe to bet £50 on games of darts and lost every single one. Once he'd played the owner and lost again put £1000 behind the bar to get everyone a drink.
Walked into a womens prison with his brother because he wanted to know what really was inside.
After witnessing a child being bullied by other pupils he told his bullies to stop bullying him otherwise they will have to answer to Mario. He then drove the victim to his school, walked him into his class.
Spent the day driving round Manchester with the top down on his car, music blazing and high fiving Manchester City fans after the 6-1 win.
Was nearly arrested after breaking into a house and then running down the road loading TVs into the back of a 4x4 but he was let off after he explained it was his house that he'd broken into and it was his TV he was putting into his car.
He filled his car up at a petrol station and told everybody else to fill their cars up with his pump and he then paid for it.
Pulled up in a White Bentley at Xaverian College/School in Manchester to use the toilets and then took a walk around the campus for 20mins which included wandering into the staff room.

The club had to comment on every.single.one, even if they were made up (which some are). Time and time again. And they kept re-running every story in those "This is what Balotelli did so far" lists that they love to put in, even if they were debunked by the club.

it's even worse when I think back to his punditry on tv where he pushed a completely superficial nice guy persona. what a piece of shit.

I disagree with assessment from some that there is a risk of Balotelli disrupting Liverpool's team spirit or causing problems in the dressing room. If you look at his actual controversies, he has never been one who has been involved with training ground fights or dressing room arguments. There aren't stories of him sleeping with player's wives or refusing to train. His problems lie with himself. On the pitch he is ill-disciplined and lazy and can often engage in bizarre behaviour off it. But nothing relating to problems with other players.

According to his wiki page he's a fairly strong Buddhist who doesn't drink. I think he'll get along well with Sturridge who is also religious and won't cause problems.

The big risk with him is that he is simply shit.

I am so happy for Milan. El Shaarawy will bloom again.

The John Lewis story is my favourite.

Wonder if he'll get the 7. Something fucking hilarious about that, too.

Sorry for saying it wouldn't be done today, seems it might. This escalated quickly. Now trying to weigh up a Sturridge, Balotelli, Lambert strike force against the rest of the big guns.

Better than Arsenal and Spurs :)lol). Far more depth than Chelsea although Costa is good. City and United's is still better, although it feels like RVP has been in hibernation for eternity and he's now like 32.

It's more the combination of how gifted he is physically, on top of being technically strong and having the ability to produce moments of genius. Abit like why Adriano was such a big deal.

The problem is he doesn't take advantage of it. People talk about Balotelli's laziness off the ball, but it's also a problem when he's on the ball. He should use his pace more, run at and past defenders, be more direct. If he did that he could be unstoppable, but in most games he'll just pick up the ball 40 yards out and either:

a) square it to a midfielder/FB then plod into the box and wait...
b) shoot

Oh really? That would have been at Inter though, wouldn't it? Long time ago now - not to mention it probably has a lot more to do with Materazzi being a cunt than Balotelli.

In truth I'm not familiar with his periods at the two Milan clubs, though I haven't heard much bad about his time with AC

Exactly. His own the ball antics are the worst. You are forgetting C) hold the ball up and wait for a touch and then go down.

He has the speed and power to breeze past players. He would be my perfect striker for Arsenal if he just would do more than those options.

Lot of conflicting reports about what happened. Ibra said it was all Materazzi. But he was pissed off because the way Balotelli was acting like a baby because he didn't get to play.

He had a few fights outside Milanello, when he was out for the night around the city. Nothing like some players though.

Didn't he also had a fight with Mancini when he was at City?

Scholes article is damning, unrealistic and somewhat pointless to write a week or so before the window shuts, he knows we cant do that type of business, no-one could in the time left.

I guess I don't remember those so well since they aren't really as interesting as many of the other antics.

Milan targeting Jackson Martinez as a replacement? Seems unlike Milan as Martinez would cost twice the amount.

I guess it is always nice to aim high knowing full well it won't happen. This is just Galliani throwing the fans a bone to keep them from complaining.

Vincent Tan always said that people "would see when the truth comes out". We all just assumed Malky and Moody had been grabbing brown envelope's stuffed with money whenever they made a transfer.

Now Tan, just change us back to Blue and all is forgiven... he said through gritted teeth.

It sells papers that's about it. The only players we could realistically sign from that list are maybe Khedira and Di Maria and probably that would cost 65m.

2 killer7s who both support manutd.

What do we do about this,

I noticed someone else pointed this out yesterday. Glad to see there is at least one other fellow killer7 fan here. Anyhow, I grew up a Milan fan (dad is huge lifelong fan) but given the fact that I live in the states it is easier to follow United.

Wow and you like the same 2 teams as well!

Not really but that would've been crazy.

Welcome m8.

Scholes article is jokes. We should sign Alonso loooooool. He's slower than Dean's BRAIN

And I can't believe Balo to Liverpool is real. I've never thought he was the top top talent everyone talked about, at least in regards to his performances on the pitch. But if he can play in tandem with Studge then that could be dangerous.

Surprised to see him leaving Milan so soon though. I thought he supported them as well m8s

What did you think of Bebe?

In a world where Shane Long is £12 million and Fabio Borini is £14 million, £16 million for Balotelli is a fairly canny deal.

Dean wants to be a detective he said on WhatsApp.

Fuck Scholes. As dumb off the field as on(when tackling, not passing)

Former footballers are just like us football fans, think we know how to fix everything but we don't.

Woodward is like that kid in a school yard who gets his friend to ask a girl out for him, but wont ask himself till he knows she will say yes, but no girls ever say yes, and he has no friends to ask them.

16m!

Can we borrow the guy who sorts your transfers out please.

He's going to smash it at Liverpool. I can just see it.

Looks like we'll be finish 7th again :(

€22m for Milan, Di Marzio says it could be over by tonight. And we might go for Negredo (according to SportMediased, so there's that).

Selling Balotelli and signing Negredo would be a fantastic business for Milan, imo. Jackson Martinez would be nice too.

Maybe I've forgotten how crazy he is but I don't think it'll be that hard to keep him in line.

It was fun while it lasted.

Balotelli is your favourite player in the world, right? Damn. RIP in pieces, Frank.
