All this stuff about being the best player in the final or having to win something is just stupid. When did that come into the equation?
It's so obvious Ronaldo was the best player this year - it would be funny as fuck if Germany managed to lobby one of their guys into winning it but really now, they don't have any players at that level.

Why should he care about a player's marital status?
I always assumed when he touched players' faces he absorbed significant life dates, favourite cuisines and blood type information.
The Babadook was ... fine, I guess? The actress was brilliant, it's well shot*, but that's about it, really. Hardly original and I felt it didn't really lead to anything in the end. It's certainly better than your average of the averagest horror flick though. The mother was really great.
*the ping-pong cuts from mother to son really started to annoy me after a while, it's obvious that they were almost never in the same scene, because child actor and all that

Ronaldo won the Champions League, he had a great year, of course he'll win. Great choice, even though I personally wouldn't pick him.
