looool in the Barca tradition of crappy names, Pique and Shakira have named their kid: Milán Piqué Mebarak

So is it a boy or a girl?

Edit: It's a boy!

Not really, he has the potential to one day go to a bigger club but do we need Didier Failure Deschamps to tell us this now? He's just a knob.

If it was up to him every player would play for an elite team cos any other team is irrelevant.

Mbiwa should of stayed at Montpellier until the summer tbh. It's very risky moving to another club in a different league and for a team who needs some results pronto.

Definitely.

Slightly different, but our League One play-off final win against Hartlepool at Cardiff is one of the greatest things I've ever experience. Just unreal. And it was "only" a third tier play-off.

Incidentally we are still the last team to win a trophy from outside the top division in England, when we won the League Cup in 1991 against Manchester United (although we were promoted to the then Division 1 the same season). I'd be chuffed to bits if Bradford knicked that record off us.

Shit even the Johnstone's Paint trophy final a few years back was amazing. I couldn't go due to work so watched it on TV but it was still great. Took the biggest allocation of fans ever to the new Wembley.

Highlights still worth a watch to see Pards lifting a trophy.

I'm starting to really dislike Newcastle with this French fetish; they're becoming an easy club to hate.

QPRish.

Don't be jealous. They should have all named their kids after themselves.

La Masia team with players called Lionel Messi jr, Victor Valdes jr, Pique jr etc.

Oh god, I watched the JPT after the game video and saw Markus Liebherr :(

And Don Nicola putting the kiss of death on Pards.

Mbiwa went to Newcastle? Looked decent against Arsenal if I'm remembering right, although he was playing out of position.
"I saw a headline saying Arsenal are flying the flag for Britain," he said.

"I kind of wondered where that British involvement actually was when I looked at their team.

"It's important that top clubs don't lose sight of the fact that it's the English Premier League and English players should be involved."
What a fool.

Telegraph claim that Coloccini's wife is ill and back in Argentina, hence Coloccini's desire to return to the country (and playing for daddy's team). Newcastle supposedly aren't going to budge at all for a move this month.

He got a lass pregnant so his Wife got pissed and told him to go back to Argentina.

Why QPRish?

I don't understand.

Because they're haphazardly inflating their squad in what appears to be panic mode, purchasing players based on factors not wholly determined by footballing ability. Essentially they're just buying French, and it's the sort of monochrome policy that gets me irked. Just like QPR amassed a fuck off squad of unwanted specimens and premier league journeymen, and expected it to work.

Nobody's arguing that there's a deal to be done in Ligue 1, that much is already proven, but it's like winning a single bet and then throwing money on willy-nilly in a spate of overconfidence.

When the team crumbles, just like QPR, I'll laugh my tits off.

Are we certain he has a wife?

HE IS THE WIFE

Eh, Mbiwa and possibly Sissoko will be the only starters out of these new signings (and Debuchy). Haidara and Gourcuff are padding, though Gourcuff could end up as a starter over Marveaux (preferably not as Marveaux is doing well now and Gourcuff naturally falls under the unproven PL umbrella).

Our squad is very small and outside of our absolute best 11, the players we have are - IMO - worse than the players we're signing. I'd rather have Haidara and Gourcuff on the bench than folks like Tavernier and Obertan.

I see your point though and it could backfire spectacularly, or it might prove the defining period in our season where we start to go up a few places.

The bottom line though is that we are desperate for new recruits and a larger squad. We're still - shock, horror - in the Europa League as well. Outside of our best 11, we have to rely on truly terrible has-beens or unproven kids.

I guess we'll see in the Summer where we stand.
