I wished for that as well, until they made that awful second season. Man, they just trashed the whole series.

I loved Darker than Black and its among my favorite Anime of all time. Dat animation and fighting choreography.

Fantastic Mr Fox felt like a subpar Wes Anderson film, and a subpar kids film (though I don't think it was aimed at kids). Has some charm though.

I just loved it. It's my favourite of his movies actually, but Tenenbaums and Moonrise Kingdom are great too.

They're as incredible as each other. First time I saw both I didn't really get them, but felt compelled to watch again and they're both just stunningly funny.

Dodgeball always makes me laugh like a fucking idiot as well.

i had to force myself to watch it all the to the end, and it's only a 90 minute film.

Saving Private Ryan is trite wank outside the first sequence. Haven't seen Platoon. I refuse to believe anything can ever top Apocalypse Now.

All Quiet On The Western Front is pretty great though.

Thought Carnage was good last year. Christoph Waltz was fucking superb.

Apocalypse Now could do with an ending (oh but the movie is supposed to lack narrative JUST LIKE VIETNAM...). But it's still a great movie. One of the best looking movies; the lens flare is just glorious.

My favorite movie of 2012 was Lincoln. I legitimately liked it far more than I expected to, very pleasant surprise.

I really like the ending; looks and sounds gorgeous. But the scenes with Duvall are something else, just phenomenal.

Lincoln was really good, really entertaining. DDL was amazing, absolutely amazing. Deserves every award going, even if it is boring.

Was just saying I have to get round to it. First I saw of him was in Parks and Rec, and I've seen three of his stand ups and I just think he's incredible. Such a good writer. I might watch an episode or two of Louie after this actually.
