Anyone know when the juve - celtic tickets go on sale for normal folk? Looked Celtics website and they're on sale Saturday morning but it's only for season ticket holders.

Where would be the best place to get them?
At Celtic Park?

http://www.celticfc.net/tickets_ucl_info.php

1. 1 ticket on sale to season ticket holders from 22/12/2012.
2. 2 additional tickets on sale to season ticket holders 17/01/2012.
3. Tickets on sale to non-STH who attended the 3 CL games 18/01/2012.
4. Remaining tickets go to general sale.

It'll be tough. I'm not even sure if they'll get to a general sale, but if they do it'll be a very limited supply. I'd try to help you out but I've already promised my 2 extra tickets to other people. :( Best bet is to try on Celtic forums, twitter, etc.

Meanwhile Real is supposedly offering 22m euros for Subotic.

http://www.vesti-online.com/Sport/Fudbal/279159/Real-nudi-22-miliona-evra-za-Subotica (Serbian source?)

...it's that most wonderful time of the year

Don't know, Subotic is one of those cases I'm not really thinking about. Sure, he's very important and a fantastic player but it's been known for some time now that he'll either leave or sign a new contract for BVB in 2013. If he left for England or for Real, why would I care?

I'm hoping he stays but if he really left, well, Santana will sign a long contract instantly and the money we'd get would be enough to buy Kirchhoff. That would leave us with Hummels, Santana as main CBs and Sobiech, Günter and Kirchhoff as talents behind that. Plus, Kirchhoff could be a DM backup if Kehl and Bender are both out again. Wouldn't be that bad, either.

Lallana will be a massive loss for us. Could make the difference.

Yeah but Phil Bardsley is fit and Danny Rose isn't

Malaga aren't banned for the next 4 CL. They are banned for one of the upcoming four - i.e. the next one they qualify for in that window. If they don't qualify in the next four seasons, then I take it the ban just expires.

Hopefully people will actually care enough to go. It's embarrassing to see the Capital One banner covering up seats in these half empty parks.

The games against Wolves and Man Utd were pretty full actually. I'm also meant to be getting tickets to my first away game :lol. Southampton FA Cup 3rd Round.

Jenkinson - Arsenal can always count on me

Carl Jenkinson believes that his new contract with Arsenal is a big pledge of commitment from both player and club.

The 20 year-old right back penned a long-term deal this week, along with four of his team-mates, and says he is thrilled to form part of what could well be the Club’s backbone for many years to come.

“Obviously I’m over the moon - really happy,” Jenkinson told Arsenal.com. “I see my future at this football club and I’m delighted they see things the same way.

"Signing the contract shows commitment from me, which Arsenal can always count on, but it’s a big commitment from them as well. People here clearly have belief in me, and now I have to make sure I prove them right.”

The lifelong Gooner was plying his trade for Charlton Athletic, then of League One, just 18 months ago, and he admits that he has been on quite a journey during that time.

“I’m obviously really pleased with my progress over the past 18 months,” he said. “Of course there have been some challenging times along the way, and I’ve had to work really hard, but I’m pleased with where I am now and I’m so happy with the new contract.

"Now I just need to take every day as it comes, working and training hard.”

Fellow young British players Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Kieran Gibbs and Aaron Ramsey joined Carl in signing new contracts.

“A big thing has been made of the fact that we’re all British boys, and obviously that’s great,” said Jenkinson. “The guys who signed at the same time as me are all excellent young players and close friends of mine.

"I’m delighted not just for myself but for everyone else – it’s great for the Club as a whole, as well as for the players. We want to be playing with the best and believe we can do that here.”

If that means forming part of a team with an English base, then it will only be a positive thing in Carl’s eyes.

“We’re an English club and I think the core of the squad should reflect that,” he said. “That’s why I’m delighted the other boys have signed up with me.

"Arsenal has such a vast scouting system that it can pick up great players from numerous other countries, and that will always be the case, but I think it’s fantastic and appropriate to have an English core. It’s something the [English] fans can relate to.”
I've got a tear in my eye.

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much
To be fair Jenkinson has shown decent signs. While Sagna was injured he looked solid, now that he's second choice he's gone off the boil again but the talent is there. When Sagna leaves in one of the next two windows I'm sure he'll step up.

I can't believe I'm excited to see more of him.

Yeah. And it's not like we refused to go to play in Cagliari, it was the mayor who didn't deem Cagliari's new stadium, which is apparently made of Lego, safe for the public. FIGC then had to find a new venue and they choose the Tardini. It was already announced and a done deal when the mayor suddenly changed his mind and said that Cagliari's stadium actually was safe for public. The usual casino alla italiana and who gets blamed by Cellino and Leonardi? We do, of course. *smh*

The best I could do with the tools at my disposal here at work:

Thank you based Zab for Beardlo. There is no shame in him replacing Del Piero in my avatar.

Oh. Okay. :(

Haha I'm sorry Lucifer. It's just that you're down on your team more than I am, and I WANT Milan to fail. Add a bit of initial enthusiasm and you're basically Internet famous Rasdella. :p

The Guardian's Best Players in the World: 70-41

57. Vidal
56. Mario Gomez

One of the single best CMs in the world? Nope, Mario Gomez is better. What? WHAT?

I want to get a hold of a ticket as well, but if they don't get to general in January I'll be shit out of luck. If you get a sniff of more tickets, Smeg, let me know.

Remember Robbie Keane's room when he joined us?

I've always been a Wolves/Coventry/Leeds/Inter/Tottenham/Liverpool/Celtic/West Ham/Aston Villa/LA Galaxy (circle where appropriate) fan, ever since I was a kid
