Only one shots if the Shugoki is in a critical state. And it's balanced because it's a heavy telegraphed move that's easily dodged. If you do dodge it that Shugoki is fucked.
Non directional unblockable, so pretty sure it can't be. Even if it was, it'd be more advantageous to dodge.

Oh mannn I love this game. Except for Dominion, which I'm still not really sold on. I think the capture points encourage clusterfucks, which I don't think are bad design or anything, but the risk/reward of staying in a multi-person fight in regular deathmatch/elimination/etc is actually a bigger deal without the objectives I think. There if you run away, you are removing yourself from the scoring at all. In Dominion, if you just run to a new objective, it encourages this goofy Benny Hill shit with everyone trying to play wack-a-mole.
Dueling and 2v2 are my absolute favorites.
EDIT - I will say, as someone who is typically not too bothered by monetization stuff: this game's money grabs feel groooossss.

The armor packs are so overpriced. I was actually wanting to get the sakura effect, but for ~$40? Ya no thanks.

Anyone else having connection issues for large game modes? Duels and 2v2 are working fine for me, but I can barely ever complete a 4v4 without dropping out at some point

Shugoku's backbreaker is very high risk/high reward. I imagine it's very difficult to land in high level play against a Peacekeeper or Nobushi.
His knockback strike needs a distance nerf though. You can knock someone off a cliff from miles away.

See that makes more sense, it seemed like it was totally random for the 1hk, so I guess just try and bait him into it when he's low, I still think he's a bit too strong in 2v2s because of his 2/3second invisibility. I was wailing one in the back earlier while he just stood there and revived his teammate.
Do you mean invincibility? I don't know if you know, but they take additional damage when their super armor is not up. So once you bust it, keep up the pressure and try to land additional hits before it recharges.

Still my most hated opponent. They slash so fast and if someone knows what they are soing you really cant predict the direction.

Considering you get a total of 3500 for doing both tutorials, which everyone should do, no. Had everyone unlocked after a couple hours last night.
I love the difference in dealing with matchups based on the character you're playing.
Orochi is one of the easiest I've fought as Warlord.
Full Guard Stance -> Headbutt -> Light Attack -> Guard Break -> Heavy Attack.
Orochi roasted.

Feeling like .5 of a second behind their guard changes while they lightly tickle you to death is the worst fucking feeling in the whole game. Especially frustrating after missing a shield bash.

I have settled on Nobushi as my main and whenever I see an Orichi I panic. I need to get in the habit of stick and move because I cant get her fucking pole around fast enough to block them.

You get 3500 for both tutorials and a bunch for playing the campaign (which is kind of a big tutorial too), so by the time you do all that and if you did absolutely no PvP, you'd have everyone...

Unlockables can't be blocked but can be parried. Even the peacekeepers shitty stab guard break thing can be partially negated.

I saw this weeb thing on Reddit and had to look it up. Guess Im a weeb...for this season anyway and yes, we are getting demolished!
Yeah, it's pretty crazy. Even if you tried to pay for it with metal you gathered from dailies and fights, it'd take you a minimum of two weeks of regular (as in, "no-lifing" it) play to afford it.
Even the emotes and executions are really quite expensive. I'm planning on just sticking with one character and not buying any gear packs until I've maxed her out. You get enough gear from just playing the game that it's really kind of a non-issue. That'll leave me to save my metal for getting those sweet, sweet E&Es.
Anyone know if steam's controller mapping has any noticeable lag?
