The one thing I dislikeWT!!? RT in Forzavista mode only ? seriously !
Watch the video again. he literally says RT is available in Forza Vista.MS: Shows ingame gameplay trailer with apparent RT reflections enabled! Dude from MS dev team speaks and advertises the Game RT and 4K resolution!
Also MS: Official Forza Page displays that RT mode in only for View mode - Photomode! and game is running at 4K@30 lol (with optional 60fps mode though)
My humble opinion: That was some serious EPIC FAIL moment!
This is true. And Forza is a cross gen game too. Wait till games start shipping on UE5 with a 1440p 30 fps target or if they use fancy hardware accelerated lumens lighting, 1080p 30 fps target. Then we would be lucky to get 1080p 60 fps modes.Told people earlier this year to not get used to 120 fps / 60 fps on every game. Once we ride well into next-gen 30 fps will become the norm again. Most likely 60 fps 'performance modes' are here to stay but be ready for deep graphics cuts as we progress into his gen.
Cross gen games are setting everyone's expectations out of wack when it comes to frame rates.
tell me a graphically better game ?i do wonder what kind of goggles u have
The sense of speed in DriveClub is way better than anything in GT Sports or any other racing game this gen. Forza Horizon is a 30 fps franchise and it consistently outscored the mainline Forza series. No racing game should be <60fps. Never mind doing this nonsense of a 4K30 mode, just get the resolution as high as possible with 60fps.
13TF, DX12 Ultimate, RT Hardware, The Monster, The Most Powerful Console eva ...
for finally, no RT supported in-game
Yea clearly this look great. Not the best looking game ever or look one gent ahead of HFW. Stop being so hype up and over reacting. The environment look excellent in motion, but you can see flaw when picture is taken without motion blur and this is fine for a racing game. Clearly there is one track level that look next gent. Hopefully they show that track more today.
it's beautiful but nothing crazy :3
I don't see anything from next gen here, it's forza horizon 4.1 but in mexico.
FH4 on PC
villagetell me a graphically better game ?
post some daytime comparisons. Everything looks better in rain and under grey cloudy skies.

Is Forza Vista a gameplay mode or Vehicle viewing mode ? There in no RT in gameplay mode as was implicated by the MS developer, when he spoke about "4K visuals with raytracing"Watch the video again. he literally says RT is available in Forza Vista.
This did stick out to me. Tbh, I noticed this even in FH4 when I played it on PC. Nonetheless, still excited to try this out.The cars do look weirdly out of place and I cant put my finger on it. One of the points that stick out is the Lambo just sliding round the corner, like its just a block, on ice
But that's the point, they were up front about it in the video. They didn't hide it like the poster said.Is Forza Vista a gameplay mode or Vehicle viewing mode ? There in no RT in gameplay mode as was implicated by the MS developer, when he spoke about "4K visuals with raytracing"
Forzavista
Forzavista (also capitalized as ForzaVista) is a vehicle viewing mode introduced in Forza Motorsport 5 and is featured in all Motorsport titles afterwards. It is also featured in the Horizon series following Forza Horizon 3. It is based on Autovista, where the player can fully explore all...forza.fandom.com
Dude stop, just stop. You can do this with ANY game and get the results you want.

The gameplay they showed, clearly had RT reflections in it! As i see it, it is "false advertising" because screen space reflections in the final release, wont be near as good as they showedBut that's the point, they were up front about it in the video. They didn't hide it like the poster said.
And anyone who wants to see games look like this needs to settle for 30 fps.
The series is not for me. It's way better than those awful Ubisoft racing games, but it didnt scratch that driveclub itch. It's visually spectacular so if you are a graphics whore you will get a good 5-10 hours out of it even if driveclub is more of your jam. i think the xsx is worth it if you dont have a PC especially with Star Citizen coming out in 2022 as a true next gen title.imho looks very good especially for crossgen, for now best looking racing game, considering buying xsx for it but little afraid I will get bored quickly (never played horizon game, crew 2 was hilariously bad for me)
No it did not. Those were all screenspace. I dont know what else I can say at this point. The gameplay they showed, clearly had RT reflections in it! As i see it, it is "false advertising" because screen space reflections in the final release, wont be near as good as they showed
Or a PC. This is why I'm all into MS's strategy of creating this huge, connected ecosystem, as oppose to traditional closed console experience and exclusives, where when you're fucked, you're fucked, and there's nothing you can do about it.
All Microsofts PC games have launched, or come, to Steam. Thank God.Just saw this is also releasing on Steam same day, interesting.

wayy too many people speaking out they ass without even taking a minute and check stuff before making them selves look incredibly ignorant and stupid, ehhhh warriors will warIronically it's running on the same engine.
Asobo Studio says it will maintain content support and updates on Microsoft Flight Simulator for 10 years (madinfinite.com)

Umm what I said wrong?wayy too many people speaking out they ass without even taking a minute and check stuff before making them selves look incredibly ignorant and stupid, ehhhh warriors will war
nah, you quoted someone and commented and I just wanted to add to it...Umm what I said wrong?
I played it a year ago and so my memory is a little hazy. I remember it not mattering where I placed in races and maybe not even recording it? It certainly didn't show my best times on a track and when I raced I didn't know if it was my best time i think.I think? By placing last? Have you played Forza or not?
Its an ‘Arcade racer’, not a simulation. It does reward you with winning, but if you’re happy just to continue not to unlock shit and not have gold trophies next to each race that’s on you. You can blast through GT1 licence tests to in 5 minutes if you don’t strive for perfection.
But, since it’s so easy that you feel your brain dribbling out show us your achievement scores with all assists turned off, and times on the hardest difficulty.
Or better yet post gamer tag and I’ll add you
Lol this is your opinion not mine.Dude stop, just stop. You can do this with ANY game and get the results you want.
I own FH4 on PC, and its probably the best looking racing game i ahve played, open world anyway, but FH5 is a clear step up. The detail is far beyond it.

At least with Forza, Ratchet and Horizon Forbidden West, they are targeting native 4k for their 30 fps modes so a 1440p 60 fps mode is easily doable. Devs will always prioritize visuals over framerate. And anyone who wants to see games look like this needs to settle for 30 fps.
Stop sucking driveclubs balls Jesus. I'm not hating the game because it's sony's but it looks like ass compared to fh4 , the sense of speed is also horrible when u compare it with fh4The sense of speed in DriveClub is way better than anything in GT Sports or any other racing game this gen. Forza Horizon is a 30 fps franchise and it consistently outscored the mainline Forza series.
I really dont think 60 fps is a requirement for any game to be fun. Even shooters. Halo 2 and Halo 3 were 30 fps and in a league of their own compared to 60 fps shooters in their era. 60 fps is undeniably better, but everything comes at a cost and as soon as devs begin pushing next gen visuals, destruction, physics and NPCs, you will start seeing games target 1440p 30 fps and you will have to settle for 1080p or even sub 1080p 60 fps modes.
as a positive to 4k/30 and seperate 60fps option... this tells me they are atleast pushing next gen far and is not just a port up, since Horizon 4 was 4k/60, if this was the same i would question how much of an improvement there would be
i assume there is a Xbox One version, i wonder how it will compare
you are missing my point. Forza Horizon 4 is also 30 fps so if the sense of speed is fantastic in FH4 according to you then you agree with me on 30 fps being sufficient enough for a racer.Stop sucking driveclubs balls Jesus. Another bizarre post. devs targetted 30 fps on N64 and just because MISSED their target doesnt mean they were aiming for 15-20 fps. Control, Cyberpunk dropped to 15-20 fps on base consoles last gen. Does that mean they were targeting 15-20 fps? And even if that scenario is true, wouldnt that mean that the devs have continued to target visual fidelity over 60 fps framerates which is PRECISELY what I was saying.Developers used to target visuals on the N64, with frame rates of like 15 to 20fps. Now they prioritise frame rates with 30fps minimum.
So you're actually wrong and have been for over 20 years.
wut? 6 years old base PS4 game...Stop sucking driveclubs balls Jesus. I'm not hating the game because it's sony's but it looks like ass compared to fh4 , the sense of speed is also horrible when u compare it with fh4

Yes, already been analyzed.
Ok look forward to being disappointed then.

FH5 gameplay livestream starting in the next few minutes:
? Was talking about MS flight sim.
They optimized it dude. They had an interview and everything, 60fps.I know you are.
You can't run it at 4k 60fps on any current PC hardware so I don't know what world you're living in.

It's going to be ok man, it's going to be ok
