"Dark chocolate" and "finest chocolate" are too obviously an easy reference to Spa, and maybe even Spa at night. If this is some kind of sick wind-up I will NOT be happy :lol
The cherry blossom ref is obviously Japanese, but we already know about the Japanese tracks, don't we..?
Fuck it, Saladine you sadistic fuck! Tell us Goddammit!
I personally think the cars shouldn't be something you have to grind hours for, but should be explored and given freely. Not all of course, need to have something to work for, but I couldn't afford a vast majority of the cars I wanted and I was lvl 41.
110% agree. All cars should be attainable for even the average player. Which is why I hate the idea of unicorn cars that can only be earned through the auction house or through contests. The point of these games is to drive cars that we either own or otherwise couldn't experience in real life.

the flipside of the coin is that the rare/difficult cars are the carrot for high-skill players to get. if everything was just open at the beginning of the came, the "value" of the cars is easily diminished. if a super rare Ferrari is equally rare and difficult to attain in game, it is sharing is it's real world value. the world is full of special, rare, sought after expensive cars, as such, so should Forza.
The Unicorns are prizes. they are there as a reward for diligence in playing the game and being involved in the marketplace ingame. if they weren't worth shit just so everyone gets a copy, what is the point?
you have to make choices on what cars are most valuable, and do what you have to to get them. either by making an awesome livery, and awesome tune, or decal, or whatever that people will pay money for.
While looking for cherry blossom related places around Bathurst, I noticed that a town was called Blue Moutain near Bathurst. I had no idea that the name was inspired by a real town. Mind blown.

Didn't remember seeing it posted or talked about, seeing as a bunch of posters were saying they wasted time on modeling it and Dan says in the video 343 gave them the model.
Just got back from a Xbox 360 promo location in downtown Toronto near Queen and Spadina. They had the E3 build of Forza 4 there.
The sim Steering physics are so much better than Forza 3. However, despite T10 saying they improved the AI so that they don't bump into you they still seemed pretty shitty to me and in both races I played, I spun out multiple times due to the AI nailing me. I had the AI set on medium, maybe they are only smart on Hard? Its a shame. That being said I'll still get it because I love doing hot laps.
did you know that EA released a neat Autolog app for Windows Phone?
Hell, even Ubisoft released a companion app for "Your Shape".
I think it's about time that Forza gets the same treatment.
Here are some ideas:
- AutoVista on the go, including POIs and all the data, maybe even the narration by Clarkson
- auction house on the go
- access to your car club
- access to your garage, including the stats of your cars
- shows the profiles of your rivals
- displays your career status
I'm sure you can come up with other cool things and I hope you're already working on it. If not ...

See, for a racing game I always figured the times posted for tracks and leaderboards would be there for the "hardcore". I would be fine with cosmetic differences on the cars also, like you earn a special livery option or something.
I see both sides of the coins and Unicorn cars I'm not really that irritated with, it was just the basic broke-ness of F3 I experience through the whole game not being able to really purchase the cars I wanted and no way of really earning money without using the storefront (that I found).
I'm fine with a few cars being super rare ... but F3 was tough for me because I was forced to avoid a lot of the cars I just "wanted" due to not having the credits to purchase them.
polyphony digital visited spa in 2009 to measure up the track, take videos/pictures, etc. the track is done and ready to go but they're keeping it back for some reason (possible gt5 spec II update later this year?) - some of the new tracks in gt5 were done in 2006, so i'm guessing spa will make its gt debut in gt6 in 2013
if spa is premium dlc for forza 4, turn 10 can go and fuck themselves.
Nah, it is not yet September, you know the month of Tokyo, the month of Frankfurt, the month of gold, the month of content, the month of you know what!
Nice, first screenshot of Infineon and now first screenshot of Indy.
Looking very good, the infield really looks crowded.
I also noticed how the wall in the Infineon pic wasn't perfectly square, nice small detail there.

1) What's the point of having them in the game if you're unable to drive them? You'll never drive a 250 GTO in real life, why should it be that way in a videogame environment? The game is there to provide a semblance of access to these cars, not to emulate the difficulty in ever seeing, much less driving them. There's real life for that.
2) The unicorns were completely unattainable in 3 unless you participated in contests, because the credit glitching ruined the auction house. Now if 4 is buttoned up enough that we don't have to worry about that problem, then the unicorns will still be relatively attainable for diligent players.
I'm with piranha, make special liveries or something if you really want to set aside content for the top 0.001% of players.

you can get them. just do the work. Join a club and work together to unlock one. Test drive one from the free ride or whatever equivalent.
Coming up with 16 million dollars for a Ferrari California is tough, yeah. but coming up with 16 million magic credits in a videogame is not the same. it is doable from your couch.
We should strive to not dumb down the game. make things tough to get, so earning them means something.
I was going to post a Ferrari (looks amazing!), but I don't think I should. The modeler and Turn 10 wouldn't be too happy about it if I did.
I didn't know that different people did different things on one track. For example, one person's job was just to do the signage around the track while another would only do a pit box or something..
