I haven't seen it discussed and I tried a search but didn't find much of anything on this.
But has there been any mention on tire smoke?
F3s tire smoke was severely lacking. Here's hoping they do something close to how tire smoke looks in GT5.
It's such a small thing but I feel it helps a lot, especially for drifting. (and crashes maybe

Something about pulling a huge drift and seeing a huge plume of smoke behind you feels so satisfying
Either way, I'm still super stoked the MR2 AW11 made it in. It hurt driving the MR2 in GT5 as a "standard" car.

Yes let's talk more about the lighting and how it still falls short compared to many other racers but we are happy that it looks better than FM3.

And reviews and impressions should be out in a few days?
Here's hoping that VVV and inside sim racing got their copies.

From what we've seen in these small shots being released, they used the same technique and removed a lot of the saturated look from all the tracks coming back from F3.

Maybe IBL doesn't handle glowing overcast skies as well as it does a bright, solitary light source. Maybe it makes the environment and cars look flat, who knows, but a little variety in the lighting conditions wouldn't go amiss. Here's hoping the dusk/dawn settings extends to more than a couple of tracks.
I still miss Silverstone's dramatic sky from FM2.

Demo date confirmed for 3rd October, at the end of the 'Making of Bernese Alps' video on XBL Marketplace.
Might have a quick play at Eurogamer then skip the demo. Not much point that close to the release of the game. I might avoid this alleged flood of information coming soon too, and just hold out for release day, get it all fresh and first hand.Betty Swallox said:

I mean honestly ... a pic a day of a track or car would have probably sufficed me, something new to talk about and look at ... anything. They have to know, even on their own forums, the people they asked about what to improve the game with they are cold shouldering.
But I digress, I can't talk about their shitty, abysmal, ridiculously idiotic and lackluster fan treatment ... after all, it is the game I want (with horrible lighting and all).

Depends what I get to play at Eurogamer, and what the demo contains. If both are identical, and both are Alps (which, let's face it, they 100% will be) then I will skip the demo and enjoy the track when the game launches. The point of the demo for me is to try the game and see what it looks (and plays) like 'in the flesh', not drive one track over and over until I'm sick of it before the game even comes out. To be honest I was getting close to Alps fatigue after E3, so yes - I think I'd rather wait.

I was going to order another LCE version for my brother who is oversea but Amazon listed as no longer available. @_@. How could they run out of first shipment when the game is still almost a month away.

I have a feeling the demo will be the one they used to demo game at PAX. Also if past demo is something to go by, I doubt it will have much contents.
