the wheel would be the cheaper investment, but I love my PC, enough to forgo a ps4 for a new gfx card
Yeah, that's where I'm leaning, because most of the pc games I play now are small games (Hotline, FTL).

Ok, race idea:
LeMons of Prague. 20 laps on Prague short. D class. Full damage.
Cars must be: 20,000 cr or less when purchased stock, and more than five years old. You must add a roll cage and put a number on both sides. Hopefully the same number. After that, do whatever you want to bring it up to D400.
So how did those all-singing-all-dancing next-gen dedicated servers work out for everyone? Did they make it all a seamless experience?

Looks like Crude is in the lead overall. Dat leaderboard car.
Ummmmm after taking it up the ass on multiple occasions today I don't know if thats a good idea.

I've never had a gaming PC, so that's what I was looking for. But at the same time I wouldn't be doing the bulk of my gaming on it, it would mainly be for racing sims.
But I have like $200 in Amazon credit so I could get the wheel for basically $200 which would ease the pain of moving on from my fanatec gear.
Do you want a big cheesy grin while you play?
Get a wheel.
I'm going to miss my club sport pedals
Over on FM.NET MrBasherman (basherboards.com) said he's making a converter board..
I knocked one together using a STM32F407 Discovery Board (http://uk.farnell.com/stmicroelectronics/stm32f4discovery/stm32f407-usb-otg-discovery-kit/dp/2009276)..
The TX + CSPs are a really good combo!
I'm going to miss my club sport pedals
Saw one in a hopper last night, the car stayed transparent the whole time so it wasn't a hazard.
Frustrating when people don't take the game seriously, had some really good races after passing the arseholes.
I do still, right now I miss a shifter more but simply placing a strip of rubber or foam behind the brake and changing the deadzone accordingly makes the whole experience far better, haven't locked up the brakes in days. The more I play Forza 5 on a wheel the wider the gulf between it and 4 becomes.
edit: Snubbers, do you know if anybody is working on Fanatec shifter compatibility? (the old Porsche ones) both they and the Thrustmaster use a PS2 socket.
maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan I need to play this some more.
where's my January dlc announcement?
edit...oh and are t10 ever going to open up the selling cars/parts back at half price?
come on man... and how about adding in garage organizing custom grouping like f4?
otherwise loving this game
" Oh, but before we get to racing news, you may be wondering about January DLC. Fear not, it will be available tomorrow and stories purporting its awesomeness will be forthcoming shortly from highly respected video game websites as well as FM.net. So hang tight, its coming. "
Lets get this up now. Week two. I'm not sure exactly what the restrictions will be, but I'm sure it will be very close to what Crude came up with - C500 Clio-V6 spec races. Any suggestions on tracks/# of laps? Just want this up now so people know we'll be racing again. Details will be hammered out later this week, probably by tomorrow.
So who's in for this weekend?

most probably he has secretly stuffed another v12 into his clio and now plays the indifferentActually, hold up. First Crude picks '60s GTs, and now Clio V6s, all while most conveniently leading the points standings. I, for one, find the implications deeply unsettling and call for an investigation.

Care to dumb that down for me.
That's what happens when I try to reply using my phone!
There is a guy who makes interface/converter boards for connecting various pedals/wheels/shifters to each other.. www.basherboards.com , he's been posting on FM.NET after all the info regarding how the TX pedals and Clubsport Pedals work was disclosed, saying that he's getting a converter board made that allows the CSPs to connect to the Thrustmaster TX Wheel..
Since the info was already disclosed by others in the thread, I used one of my development boards (It has a Cortex M4 microcontroller on it) that is cheap and has enough hardware to allow it to talk to the CSPs to get the pedal values digitally, and 2 DACS to drive the analogue voltages the wheel expects (albeit it only has 2 of those, so I couldn't do the clutch, which is fine as I don't use it) without any further components, just wired to the clubsport pedals/TX Wheel, and a little bit of software..
The clubsport pedals on the TX Wheel is a great combination, and I'd say it's a step up from the CSR Wheel/CSP setup I had before!
The IGN Car Pack should become available for download any moment now.

I absolutely love the 575 but looks like another pack I'll skip. I wouldn't mind trying the R500 but I'm scared it will handle like the Xbox and Atom
So nobody else was expecting tracks in January?
I have been misinformed then.
HeliosT10 said:If anyone has bought the car pack already, the game needs an update (due out later today) before the cars are available to buy in-game.
Thanks for your patience and we hope all of you who get it enjoy the pack.

didnt you hear? tracks take upwards of 2 years to create. all the "missing" tracks will show up in fm6 in 2015.
