Whats the consensus on Big Boi's solo albums though?

the 1st one is really dope and definitely worth a listen. the 2nd one is good too, but a little different and not as good as the 1st joint.
Chico Dusty is right up there with Outkast 1st album its so good
2nd one is jayzitsalright.gif
Stankonia > ATLiens is right, though.
Stankonia = ATliens.
The Game - Let Me Be The One ft. DJ Quik (prod by DJ Quik)
Sounds like a Doc 2 leftover (doesn't sound completely finished) but still got me
This needs to be on the album. Got me struggle dancing as well. YG fucked up by not getting Quik to do his latest single.
LOL@the edit.
Stankonia > ATLiens is right, though.
I agree. Listened to 2001 from front to back the first time in years the other day and realized how weak it is as a whole outside of the biggest hits. Compton is pretty cohesive and has no real skippers or fillers.
Ah, now that I think about it, I'll take that back. Stankonia = ATliens.

I like it overall but it definitely sounds like it's missing...something. King Kunta feels very similar in the sense that I wish someone like Quik or Battlecat were able to give it some...swing or something, dunno.
One love, brehs.
I love both equally.
amazing to me they got Outkast fans out there still think their first album dropped in 2000. Niggas in the crowd didn't know NONE of the words of half their songs when they performed the reunion shows.
ELEVATORS THO
I feel you....like I hate Stankonia=Idelwild equally.

Yup. An imitation that's way too clean.
Since we're talking about Quik, I have to post Afternoon Drive. Even his radio drops are funky. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zT2u0XYamzU
wait, u saying that you think those two are equal? y'all really gonna make me do it 3 times?
fuck it
Exact problem "i" had too when you think about it. Sounds way better live. A lot of these studio musician producers are too focused on shit sounding perfect and shiny. Reminds me of something Questlove said about D'Angelo showing him the light.

Speaking of Outkast...it sort of hurts me that Southernlistic will be long forgotten as time progress. People keep mentioning Atliens, Aquemini, and sighs...Stankonia, but never mention that debut album though.
Oh shitPhantom Pain review thread
Phantom Pain review thread
Same here. I actually didn't even know reviews were hitting until I saw the thread a little while ago. Kojima bout to bless us.Oh and the Phantom Pain review thread has me pretty hype.

I also have Mad Max for PS4 coming next week. Decent chance it isn't worth $60, but I dunno. I'm surprisingly hyped for it based on the footage I've seen.
i've never played a metal gear solid game
i was in the same boat until they released ground zeroes for gwg so i was like fuck it, why not give it a tryi've never played a metal gear solid game
A) Another posthumous Pac album co-produced by Metro Boomin and London on the Track

didn't even bother finishing the first mission because it was such a snorefest
i love the first 3 but i wasn't really feeling ground zeroes. mgsv is supposed to be the most like that one too :/
still i'm kinda hyped but not as hyped as I would have been pre-mgs4.
2001 aged badly. My lord, the stank of those corny ass west coast beats in the late 90s to early 2000s are still in the album's pores. I think the only song out of that album that still bangs is The Next Episode.
Yo we letting this slide?
RP912, you on The Drugs breh? 2001 still bangs incredibly hard. Sonically it's still the most crisp and hard hitting album I've ever heard in hip-hop. Big Egos? Xxplosive? What's The Difference? Still gotdamn Dre? C'mon man
People are lying to themselves if they don't admit that Compton is a more well structured project though, at the very least. 2001's second half is ehhhhhhh.
Oh hell, what's Afeni up to now?
My guesses:

Hey Ya and Roses probably the only songs they know.
Compton isn't superior in any way in my opinion.Yo we letting this slide?
