I like it overall but it definitely sounds like it's missing...something. King Kunta feels very similar in the sense that I wish someone like Quik or Battlecat were able to give it some...swing or something, dunno.

I agree. Listened to 2001 from front to back the first time in years the other day and realized how weak it is as a whole outside of the biggest hits. Compton is pretty cohesive and has no real skippers or fillers.

Sir Luscious Left Foot was cool when it first came out but aged poorly and was very busy production wise. Chico is okay, I wouldn't say any of his solo work is particularly noteworthy especially not in comparison to heydey Outkast.

If I recall Terrace Martin did Twist My Fingas honestly sounds like a left over from To Pimp a Butterfly really like the bounce the track has. The Game & Quik track has that great Rhythmalism sound to it hope it makes the album.

I guess I'm part of the problem love those albums a lot more than the debut which I felt was good but the others stood out more for me I need to give it another listen sometime soon.

Yeah Phantom Pain comes out next Tuesday I guess the games length required Kojima to let reviewers play a build earlier than usual. Mad Max looks pretty great the movie made want a taste of that world but I'm going to pick that up during Black Friday when the price drops it looks like a Sleeping Dogs type hidden gem.
