I don't know if it's a pricing error or what but Run the Jewels 1 on vinyl is $12 with prime shipping on Amazon right now.

I had to bite, thought I'd post it here too.

I'm seeing way too much love for ALLA here than I ever thought I would. I got sooo hooked on it when it released that it's my third most listened album on Spotify.

Still, today, I can't see myself listening to it ever again, I just can't. The bangers wore off and there's way too much filler/straight up bad tracks on it. Crazy.

People like to shit on me for seemingly being biased towards unknown or lesser known albums, but in my eyes the real bias is for the familiar artist with albums seemingly getting nods just off of artist name recognition. ALLA might be even worse than Rocky's sophomore effort.

LiveLoveA$AP is basically a classic for me.

His two other albums don't really get any plays from me at all. ALLA is mediocre, L$D is boring. There's way better music to be listening to.

Yeah, I've been thinking this too. ALLA is top 3 worst things I heard in 2015. I wasn't hyped at all, then I listened twice and was pretty much like "Yep, nothing to see here."

The one standout track, Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2 or whatever the fuck it's called, is like 2 minutes long. For fucking shame Rocky, for fucking shame.

Edit: And yes I agree, Live.Love.A$AP is a personal classic for me as well. Perhaps my GOAT mixtape.

Lil Wayne on M$ tho, can't hate on that. I don't know if I conditioned my mind to alway expect putrid garbage from him, but that really got me off guard. He had two or three good features this year.

Albums i'm downloading to catch up for the year. A few of them I was unfamiliar with but listened to a track or two and thought they were amazing:

  • Murs - Have A Nice Life
  • Lupe Fiasco - Tetsuo and Youth (also the original Food and Liquor, holy shit Kick, Push is right up my alley. Will take any suggestions for that style of rap).
  • Contact - The Incredible True Story (holy shit Steven Blum is on it).
  • Dizzy Wright- The Growing Process
  • Knxwledge- Hud Dreems
  • Kamasi Washington- The Epic
  • Odisee - The Good Fight
  • and whatever the New Pusha T album is called.

The other rap albums I downloaded this year were TPAB and Cherry Bomb. If anyone has similar tastes to this list feel free to suggest something!

the former wouldn't even apply to Rocky because he never got love like that

you may return to listening to Bones rapping about raindrops on his white skin on his own version of Canal St.
