bought some Guiness beer brehs. Thoughts? Haven't tasted it yet.
I love it, but Esch is on the money, it's not the same unless you got it draught. Are you a dark beer drinker? If not, it make take some getting used to.

That's going to be the most one dimensional alcoholic drink of your life.

I got the draught, never had a dark beer before. For refererence I didn't like Blue Moon, wasn't really big on Pilsner either. I kind of liked Sam Adams Lager and a local Michigan beer (Oberon or something like that). Nothing has really made me say wow this tastes really good.

Old Rasputin is one of my favorites but I'd recommend starting out with something like Milk Stout, as it's so accessible and chocolatey Once you find yourself in a place that has exotic styles you should try some triples, sours, and Flanders and come to realize that beer doesn't have to be bitter and it can actually hit the same notes as wines if you so desireI got the draught, never had a dark beer before. Im waiting for #mead to catch on.
Shame shit will never be popular again, with bees dying like crazy these days
Honestly if it wasn't for the increasing scarcity of honey I could see mead potentially catching on with hipsters and yuppies or whatever and becoming a popular drink. Craft beer has only become super popular around here over recent years and I could see the same with mead if it was more available.Shame shit will never be popular again, with bees dying like crazy these days
Im watching this documentary and they used a HnC instrumental about 12 and a half mins in. Q doing it big
side note, the host is gorgeous

So...Nas says his favorite video game is Ms Pacman, says "every" Outkast song is his favorite Outkast song, gives a generic answer with respect to the new NY rap scene, recommends Love Supreme as an intro jazz album....can we confirm that the god doesn't really listen to new music or do new...anything? I'm sure people play new music for him all the time, but I bet if you looked at his iPod it would just be Motown and 80s rap. And jazz wise...I'd never hate on Coltrane, Love Supreme is amazing, and I have compared Nas to Coltrane before just in term of being cool, but I'd love to see if Nas has listened to stuff beyond Coltrane, Davis, Mingus, etc.
Hes just a man of his time, and really people like him that way. People dont like seeing childhood / teenage idols change like that.i wouldn't expect Nas to be bothered with staying up on current pop culture. that's a Hov thing.

27 going on 50. Still can't believe this dude is younger than me, he looks over the hill.
Me too, but I guess I just branched out a lot. Liquid Swords is still the best hip hop album ever though, and I'll always be eternally grateful for them getting me into 90s rap and other shit. They all made classics, but sometimes when I look at the Wu I think that there was more potential there that wasn't accessed, like most of them gave up after one or two albums creatively and they fell apart as a unit.
Basically hes a guy who raps amazing. When you listen to him on music or on other opinions, its always moronic. His music opinions especially are pretty awful, I remember him calling Meek shit classic too. I always wondered what itd be like to see him tick in a psych session or something, because his introversion is so strange. Its so strange to look at hip hop forums and watch people cop pleas and justify for the weird and just incorrect shit he says all the time, kinda like apologizing for your 'simple' cousin that you love very much.Yup. I'm not criticizing him, but reading those answers it becomes clear why he picks the beats he picks, doesn't really do noteworthy collabs on his albums, etc. He doesn't care about that shit. It becomes a detriment music wise, especially in terms of beat selection, but I'm fine with him being his own man.
He has no idea what's going on. Which is the only explanation for why he thought Summer On Smash was a good record.

I'd defend the Meek comment in the sense that he hasn't listened to any Meek music, outside of the music Meek played for him when they did that (pretty damn good) song together. So him saying Drake released a classic album is basically him blindly handing out props - he doesn't listen to any of this shit.
On the flip side I'd imagine if you talked music with Jay and asked if he listened to some obscure band, he'd pretend like he had. Different sides, same coin.
This is definitely something.
