I love the chorus on Can't Knock The Hustle actually, it's a perfect new jack swing hook to me.
The chorus on "Can't Knock The Hustle" is ultra 90's, and I don't mean that in any sort of good way.

Have you been known to eat ass? Nah haha.
Only questionable song on RD is Ain't No N*gga because the bouncy ass beat didn't age well. It's still a pretty interesting song as far as concept goes. Like some of the best songs on the album it's probably one of the best examples of Call and Response in the rap music genre. Certainly the only one i can remember being an even minor hit.
yeah, Cant Knock the Hustle = timeless, shit aint even debatable
again this was like that dude on Big Ghostface's twitter last week talmbout A Million & One being a weak primo beat
Thanks everyone for the welcome. While SSLP is one of my fave albums, it's not what I've been bumping daily.

Mostly West Coast G Funk type shit, just so you guys get a better idea of what I usually listen to.
I fuck with a lot of new shit, mostly TDE, ASAP, YG, Dom Kennedy, Drake, Kanye, the new Madlib and Freddie Gibbs albumWhat about newer stuff? What have you been listening to that came out recently?
Hello GAF-Hop! can you guys recommend me artists similar to Asap Ferg? Really enjoyed his album.
Ferg's gotta unique sound but check out Travi$ Scott - Owl Pharaoh. It's another atypical MC with hype production and some good swag anthems. It's divisive around here but you might like it if you're into Trap Lord.Hello GAF-Hop! can you guys recommend me artists similar to Asap Ferg? Really enjoyed his album.

Speaking of Ferg I've been really eager to hear the new track Jungle that he teased on Instagram last month. Sounds dope as fuck. I'm guessing it's on that new Mob album that's been coming soon forever.

Des, have you heard Samurai Neito? Found him on Soundcloud recently, he produces some nice beats. Might be up your alley.

Speaking of dated listens. I listened to Reasonable Doubt yesterday....just kidding(mostly) about it being dated just wanted to mess with Esch.
The chorus on "Can't Knock The Hustle" is ultra 90's, and I don't mean that in any sort of good way. The scarface inspired skits are pretty cringeworthy too, but besides that it aged pretty well.

Yeezus has aged better than I had anticipated.on the new Ye album:
Update: A source says that as of two-weeks ago, there's 12 songs on the album. Out of six heard, it's "mostly a mixture of soul samples and tamed 'Yeezus'-esque darkness... nothing abrasive."

Can't Knock the Hustle is amazing.
The skits are alright, the best one is the beginning of "Brooklyn's Finest"
Fairly in-line with what Ye said, something more traditional, but still a bit of progression.on the new Ye album:

Kind of a Bummer, but still glad he's sticking with the sound albeit watered downFairly in-line with what Ye said, something more traditional, but still a bit of progression.
smh @ that topic about brag/swag rap in the OT. dudes posting songs from dusty 00s backpack rappers and shit
You know what? You're right.Who else even makes tracks like that though? I mean judging by the OP of that thread, it's not about flossin' tracks but about "i'm doper than you" tracks. Pretty much the bread and butter of backpack and "rappity rap" artists.
