Quick, put The Downward Spiral in your audio-system before it's too late!
lol nailed itthis song sends me right back to my childhood when I had no idea you were supposed to hate nickelback
Since we are in the subject of disliked bands, I must say I like the song "Blurry" from Puddle of Mudd.
Great Song.
I'm terribly sorry, OP
They are far worse than all 4 of those.Ive heard far worse bands in mainstream than Nickelback, i mean far worse. I never quite understood the utter hatred that people have for them, "causing my ears to bleed!" like really? I know people love to exaggerate on the internet, something is either godlike or crime against humanity and there is no inbetween, but the sheer hate this band gets is something else. It rivals Bieber, Kardashian, Octomom and Paris Hilton type hate.
They are far worse than all 4 of those.
Alot more bearable, but so much worse.

I din't get the "overplayed" complaints, though. Do they get alot of airplay in the US?
I haven't unvoluntarily heard their uninspired brand of bro rock since How You Remind Me was huge 12 years ago.
Look at this photograph
Chad Kroeger then told his step-father to give him $4,000 so that the band can record their first demo, which was Hesher (EP).

The band has been criticised over their over-use of themes involving "strippers, sex, prostitutes, drugs, sex, drinking and sex",[86] for being derivative in the music they create, too often sticking to formula and being repetitive instead of innovating.[87][88][89] In November 2011, users of the music-oriented dating site Tastebuds.fm voted Nickelback as the number one musical turnoff, edging out Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga.[90] In May 2013, the readers of Rolling Stone magazine named Nickelback the second worst band of the 1990s, behind only Creed.[91]
This applies to 99.97% of all mainstream artists.
They used the same exact music but just changed the lyrics for 2 songs. I'm pretty sure that's rare but then I don't listen to enough pop to know. Can you enlighten us of at least a dozen more similar examples, if it really is 99.97%?
I bought 3 creed cds
I won't judge you
I bought Creed's greatest hits, the cd was blank.I also love Creed.
Love.
I'm in the exact same camp. Hero was the first song and so far the only song I like that came out of Chad's mouth (though I think that might have more to do with him and his brother being the only Nickleback members involved in that song). Shame about his later stuff.Hero is the only Nickelback song I kind of enjoy cause it reminds me of seeing the first Spider-Man movie when I was a kid.
Thankfully I didn't get into the band cause everything else I heard years later from them is bad.
I also love Creed.
Love.
