My contest #4 suggestions
I've played it once before. But only the first two levels.
- More speedruns - Short and sweet segments with lots of room for improvments.
- Game music quiz - Splice toghether a bunch of game music snippets in a YouTube video and let people send in their answers to what game it is via PM.
- Map editor contest - Select a popular game with a built in map editor and let everyone create their own map. Best map wins.
- Multiplayer contest in Quake/CS/Dirt 3/whatever game that allows matches.
I've played it once before. But only the first two levels.

i'm 2 seconds slower than him and i only play the demo.
Not even sure what upgrades you guys talk about that make the level end faster. Better weapons for defeating enemies maybe?

Hmm PC version must be way different to console. I'll download the demo and give that a shot.
It should be the same, actually. Updates are still retroactive though, so a better item could theoretically help you, I think. I was just trying to think of which items those are, since the only application I could think of was a weapon that kills faster.

You can get items that make you move and roll faster, as well as weapons to push boulders around quickly, or even better bombs so you can 'rocket jump' and skip parts of the level. The 4 minute and less speed runs seem to use them, so I'm wondering if the demo is shorter or something.
Damn you are right, its been a while for me. Completely forgot about those. The.. totems and stuff, right?
Ah, alright. Might be a different level build. Could you please inform me about that? Would be a bit annoying for the contest. I'll go to bed now, but check back here tomorrow of course. Please post your impressions about that issue.

it should be exactly the same. i've seen 3:10 speedruns with the upgrades. but you need to make sure everybody uses the non upgrades otherwise the demo people have no chance.

Really need to learn how to play this game. The quick play I did today seemed pretty dangerously addictive
Especially if you start digging/fighting/finding secrets with a friend. Great coop game. Singleplayer too though of course. Stupid amount of content if you are just digging in (Ha).

Its still on sale for the next 8 hours or so. I apologize to anyone who is not reading this in time before the sale runs out, but many people own it plus todays offers are kinda meh for our contests.
Please dont copy any images from the internet
- Build a house/home whatever you may call it where you character will live the rest of his life!
- Take a screenshot of the house
- Fun and ridiculous homes will probably fly great with the voting.
- Unfortunately no demo, but its a cheap game right now and fun too, especially if you like block building games like MineCraft.

I could probably shave a few seconds off here and there but I spent this entire run avoiding fights, running straight to doors, and rolling everywhere nonstop. Highly doubt I could get to 4 minutes without powerups.
