Not only has Ben Khan finally revealed his face, but he also announced his upcoming EP titled 1992. For those unfamiliar with Ben Khan, his first single was the amazing Drive (Part I), after which people started speculating it was Jai Paul under a different name. Turns out they were wrong.

Youth is the first single from the EP and it's finally something that's not a Jai Paul rip-off. Very good stuff IMHO.

Ever since I heard "Drive", "Eden", even "Savage" I thought that he was trying to emulate Jai's stuff. The similarities between those two songs and "Jasmine" or, let's say, "All Night" were not coincidental.
I know my "rip-off" comment was definitely harsh (especially since I absolutely adore "Drive"), but that's how I felt before I heard the latest single, which is finally something that belongs only to Ben Khan. He's finally become his own artist.

Yes, I like Chet's stuff! I've first heard of him when he collaborated with Say Lou Lou and he's on my most anticipated list ever since. His album is due soon, right? Let's hope it's as good as the stuff he's released so far.
