Sam knew about the secret marriage, which is important because it means Jon is not a bastard and is the rightful heir.
If you go back to the last episode you see the Night King has 3 Spears. I think he knew the dragons were coming and wanted to take them all down and possess them.
Night King 2 gud. #TeamNightKing final season.
He'd become pretty useless in the show since season 5 anyway.

Lol it's true. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. There were low lows this season but I'll take the worst GoT episode over the best of Walking Dead.

How would you know? Literally the only other person that you quoted being confused was making a joke, meanwhile Twitter and Facebook have been talking about incest ever since they joined up. This is just an issue with you forgetting information that everyone else knew.
There's nothing wrong with forgetting information, especially if you've only seen the show once, but then blame the show or say that most people were also confused because that's not remotely true.

It made perfect sense, though. She's "Lannister uber alles", she can't bring herself to harm her own. It's why what Tyrion did is the ultimate crime to her - attacking her own family. She won't, in her mind, ever stoop to Tyrion's level.
Dany, on the other hand, is all about being a Targ, but didn't give two shits when the original Targ heir to the throne got his face melted off. That's the difference. Although to be honest I've never really understood that, how little she processed that... that her brother, the true king of Westeros as much as she's now the true queen, just got killed by some savage horselord and she was alright because he was a dickhead. But then she was all about her own birthright from then on. Whole thing never really rang true for me.
Yeah one major thing wasn't in the episode that was in the leaks. I wonder if that will get pushed to next season or if it has been written out....

Honestly...all of that stuff was pretty clearly going to happen (especially the first three points), and I didn't read one spoiler. Only thing I wasn't sure about the whole season was how the walkers were going to cross the wall, but it became clear as day when the dragon was turned.

Robert loved Lyanna: Went to war over nothing, married a woman he never wanted, and got killed over a boar.
LF loved Cat: Jealous fuckboi betrays Ned and tries to get with Cat and when that didn't happen, he took the downgrade with her sister and then tried with her daughter. Still ends up dead over it lol.
I could list every single one. Basically GOT laws state that if you're in love, you will make very bad life decisions and will most likely end up dead. It is known.

So still coming back down from the Ep. A couple things.
- Yay it was great that Arya & Sansa weren't idiots. But it's slightly less satisfying knowing that their interactions this season were deliberately a red herring. Whatever, LF got the knife and that's the important part.
- Bran finally saying stuff. Better learn how to sling that magic man.
- Cersei is just the worst. Euron making his show to the crowd was pretty shrewd, but scavenging on the bones of your enemies while there's an existential threat marching from the north is just bleh.
- Qyburn is straight up giddy over knowing there's a way to make an army of the dead.
- CLEGANEBOWL IS ON!!!!
- God damn Jaime, took you long enough.
- Suffer mortals, as your pathetic wall betraaaaaAAAAAYYYYYYYSSSSSSS you!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this. I think something with the Night King's magic may have made it more powerful / faster.
It was moving at crazy speed and looked way quicker than we've ever seen Drogon appear at least to me
