ah, cool - this applies to the le version of halo 2 as well. i was waiting for a deal like this. i'm going to cancel my brick + mortar preorder and save myself the hassle of showing up on release day. and the potential hassle of gamestop clerks screwing up my preorder.

Thanks for the heads up. I finally put down an order for Halo 2 CE. Now I can avoid Washington state's atrociously high sales tax and avoid being anywhere near a gamestop on release day.

Does Gamestop ship the way EB does? EB ships the game to you the same day they ship it to their stores so you end up having it when the stores get it. Is the same true with GameStop?
