I would believe you if the other major game that they support (Honkai) has none of the bullshit censorship of this game (characters disappearing when camera goes below shoulder height, hosiery on everything, etc), which is not on a PS platform.

The nice thing is that it's all pretty avoidable if you don't like the idea of cross over content. Monster Hunter was a side quest, and Genshin seems like there won't even be story content related to the character's appearance. If these sort of guest appearances were happening in the main story, though, I'd be genuinely opposed to them.

I don't hate Sony or Playstation, just don't accept this partnership, thats all. I more annoyed by the fact this argument is pretty much used for everyone with dislike different opinion.

Certainly there is China sanctioned censorship being done to this game, but I definitely don't need an extra layer of it which is what I'm a little suspicious of with all of the tight Sony integration. I readily admit I don't much care for Sony of the past 3-4 years, so it's not like you need to quote my posts to try to make me look like a Sony hateboy or something. I used to be a huge fan of their products and platforms though, but they've really left the crowd of JP game fans in the dust the past few years, and have made some real shit (imo) decisions with censorship and what they support/condone vs. what they prevent.

Anyways, it's just my opinion, I see plenty of

going on with Reddit and twitter, so you'll be surrounded by like-minded fans when she drops into the game. It's also fine if some people don't want it to happen though.

This is what I have problem with. I don't care if others like or dislike gaming companies or their way of working. Its a problem for me when a group of people start pushing back against free stuff that many gamers are getting. I am all for pushing back against practices which are anti gamers or consumers in general. But pushing back or trying to prevent something given for free just because either you are not getting it or you don't like the company/character is pure bullshit and entitled behavior.

Tried one of the new domains, the weapon one, just afew runs - I'm impressed how NOT annoying it is. I was expecting a shitshow, considering the latest, shitty, additions to domains.

Anyway, I had forgotten how fucking amazing this game can be. Damn the exploration and core gameplay is so good. Wish it wasn't a gacha and wasn't so dependant on RNG.

I told you so about the exploration being a huge part of the game. Don't want any Dragonspine bs, just the sensation of what was playing this game for the first time.

Not even bringing back those chests from Mon/Lyie would match releasing a entire new country with lore, chests, sigil, finding waypoints, dungeons, etc...

MH has a lonnng history of wacky collabs, so I didn't mind that nearly as much, though I still am kinda "eh" about the Witcher stuff, if I'm being honest. Also, none of them were particularly threatening to the game/franchise as much as I feel putting modern western games into an anime game is. Again, just my 2c. The only reason I even care about this is because I actually really enjoy Genshin and would hate to see it devolve into all of the same problems I have with the current western game industry. I double dipped on H:ZD on both PS4 and PC, and after actually playing it, I was not a fan. Didn't like the game, didn't like the character of Aloy.

Despite what my best possible efforts could feasibly be, nothing I do or say will get this collab taken away from you by MHY or Sony, so I still don't get why you're so pissy about the feedback that I hate this collab and will be letting them know about it. Anyways, no reason to shit up this thread with continued back and forth about this, but please feel free to PM me if you want to keep going. Also, I hope you don't take any of this personally, I consider you a pretty ok dude and fellow poster, and I would hope we're still cool despite the disagreement.

Anyways, I did end up linking my PS5 to my Genshin account, and despite it being "you only get one chance, so don't fuck it up", it was actually pretty easy and straightforward. I was pleasantly surprised to see that instantly in my inbox I received the sword/wings of Descension after firing up the game. I thought for sure they wouldn't let us "PC/Mobile first" peasants in on them. I'll have to try loading it back up on PC later and see if I can still use/access them. I also had like 30 trophies that popped up. PS5 performance is about what I'm used to with PC version, but for whatever reason they have the confirm/exit buttons swapped to X/O where on PC with a PS controller, it's O/X. Weird choice, but whatever. The load times are notably faster, but I don't run my PC games off of my OS's SSD, so I expected that. Still, it was a good experience and smooth framerate. Definitely better than the launch videos I saw with the PS4 version.

Another weird thing is that I actually had 2 world quests disappear after loading the game on PS5. I don't know what that's about, but I'll have to check later when I have more time and see if they come back on PC.

On PC you can actually swap those if you want. I have a resource farm account on PC and I was confused about it as well and then found that you can change which button works as back/exit.

On the topic, we are cool. No hard feelings. Just wanted to have a good discussion and understand others mindsets. You are in my GI friends list but we never got to play co-op anytime I guess.
