Genshin Impact |OT| 5.0 (Natlan) - Everything Changed When the Fire Nation Arrived

Normal attacks also charge her burst. She can work with non Natlan crew but it will charge slower since Natlan characters can normal attack plus use nightsoul.
She probably has a constellation that makes it easier to gain stacks like Furina C2.

Surprisingly general use friendly weapon.

Mavuika on her bike.

*edit*
Woops I missed the 2nd page on Mavuika's kit. Yup C1 increases stack generation.

Man I fucking HATE how motorcycle focused her kit is. Supposedly both in animations and in theme. I think we all knew motorcycle was coming, but I was hoping it was mostly just used for traversal and not combat. I will wait and see but I get this feeling it's gonna look stupid as fuck in battle. If it turns on a dime like Mualani on her shark especially. If they do it right, the turning radius would be fixed so it doesn't look stupid, but that would make it an absolute bear to use in combat. I really hate that the whole game was relatively low tech or fantasy tech and then all of the sudden Natlan comes in with DJ tables, flying mecha guns, and now a straight up Kawasaki.

Anyways, sounds like she heavily incentivizes using Natlan characters with her. I'll wait and see how C1 plays out, but either way you're better off with a nightsoul burster in the group at all times to play her optimally. I was really hoping for that leak about giving all characters Nightsoul to be true...

Anyways, here's Pyro Traveler. A big 'fuck you' to the leakers a few months ago that said it would be similar to "Harmony Trailblazer" from Star Rail (in other words, actually good, useful, and meta).

Also a little more about that Lanyan girl, (not a child thank goodness).

Overall I'm kinda down. Not completely down, I still need to see how the kit works and the animations and stuff, but MAN. They had so many cool ways to take Mavuika, even still with the motorcycle as a small part of the kit, but this? FUCK.

Couldn’t agree more, we went fantasy with some old tech here and there, to modern shit everywhere that clashes with the rest of the universe. I was hoping the bike would just be a promo thing or make an appearance in her Ult, not be a mechanic that we have to deal with. Ugh. Hype levels decreasing faster every day

Kinda disappointing that new characters don't actually use their damn weapons in combat.

Mualani is catalyst but attacks using her shark.
Kinich is claymore but attacks using an arm cannon.
Xilonen is sword but attacks with kicks.
Chasca...
Mavuika has the bike.
And this anemo shielder is polearm but she is holding chakram.

The weapons are just stat sticks.

100% agree. I hated that I was baited into rolling, but I thought Arlecchino's spear was the best implementation of a signature weapon. Extra visual effects that ties into the character if you use it on them, visible at all times in combat, aesthetic as hell. I'd much rather that than just making the weapons an invisible stat stick so they can do whatever they feel like doing with the animations.

Also, I don't know why they've been so allergic to making more weapon types through the years. There's no rule that we can't have gauntlets or whips or chakrams. Their imagination is the limit there, as long as they provide easily accessible F2P 4* weapons as an alternative. Also Star Rail and ZZZ blew the hinges off the door of "we can only have 5 base character models", yet they seem stuck with that outdated design choice too.

I think I personally had Mavuika so hyped in my brain that reality was going to let me down no matter how it went, but I'm going to be patient and not overreact until I see the gameplay first hand. It's just such a shame to have her go ham in all of those cutscenes demonstrating that she's a badass warrior, and we get this neutered-sounding version in a playable kit that SOUNDS like Mualani on a motorcycle. Mualani I already have, and I hate her playstyle despite the relative strength. I definitely didn't want more of that type of gameplay.

Tbh I think Citlali's visual design is really cute but i think the lolibaba archetype doesn't fit, i wish she was just a normal girl
I don't think she's really lolibaba though? Her design never struck me as loli at all, just teens/20s girl. But yea, to your point, maybe that's the problem. She's too mature for true lolibaba to work, and nothing about her design screams "ancient old lady in a young body". Her personality is probably my favorite in all of Natlan so far, and I like her design a lot, but until we get a story quest or something, the fact that she's a secret granny does seem out of place. I hope they bring it together with her quest.

True she's not like a child model but like they already did the "haha I'm actually x00 years old but I look like a teenager" schtick with Faruzan, it's just... Meh.

I'm not smitten with the motorcycle either, but I've accepted that Genshin has changed in that respect. Maybe it was Chasca's flying revolver that put the last nail in the coffin for a believable Teyvat. Now I'm along for the ride. For me Natlan's success never relied solely on Mavuika, but I get how this might sound disappointing for her biggest fans. A flaming horse/Saurian that she summons would have been more appropriate perhaps. It could have even been its own character. But who knows, maybe her motorcycle will talk too, like the bike in Kino no Tabi. It's all about how it's implemented. She's not lost yet.

As someone who doesn't pull for signatures, this is a total win for me.

This is probably what's preventing them from doing it. They'd have to release new batches of 4-star weapons and somehow distribute them to players in an effective way that doesn't harm their monetization. Much easier to just give characters a Catalyst and completely change their move set.

It's just that she's been shown in official scenes to be an incredible fighter, and from the sounds of her kit, we're not getting any of that. Just zoom zoom around and maybe a few thwacks off the side of the bike. But yea, a lot of this is just me doomposting because I was so hyped to have her in the game to begin with. A lot of this is carry-over from the mistreatment of Himeko in Honkai Impact, I can't deny those accusations. I wanted cool attack animations and a big bombastic burst, and we might still get it, albeit covered in motorcycle piss. I just need to calm down and wait it out to see for myself.

Well we do have 'main' events every single patch. Doesn't seem hard to throw those in there as rewards instead of the usual stuff we get, on top of crafting recipes they could add any number of places. I'm not saying a new weapon every patch or anything, but after 4 years I wouldn't be mad if they added 1-2 new weapon types.
