Things you need:
2 boxes of full fat brownies. I found one that required ⅔ a cup of oil, where most call for ½. The more the better here, obviously. You can obviously cut all this in half but I figured if I'm gonna go through the effort I may as well really make it worth it.
Half an ounce of something good
An oven
Coconut Oil
Depending on if you care about your house absolutely reeking for a long period of time or not, some closed, oven safe containers with lids (I used pint mason jars, 2)
Helpful but not vital, a grinder
Cheese cloth (preferred, but any way to thoroughly strain the bud from the oil)
Starting with decarbing, I preheated my oven to 225º, with the mason jars in there (to warm them up slowly and help prevent heat shock breakage) Ground up the bud, split it into the 2 mason jars lidded them, put it in the oven for 45-60 minutes. Have an oven thermometer. An unwieldy temperature could do bad things.
For the last 15 minutes I put 1 and ⅓ cup of coconut oil in the oven to melt, since it's solid at room temperature.
Once I pulled them bud out I split the oil between the 2 mason jars. Put the mason jars in the loaf pan and filled it with room temperature water until almost at the top and put that in the oven at 240º. Leave it in the oven for 8-18 hours. Yes, that long. I did mine for about 13 or so. Make sure there's water decently high in the pan throughout and if you are using jars and can, carefully burp the mason jars a few times to release pressure. They should be fine at these temperatures but you never know and I prefer to play it safe.
Once that's done I layered cheese cloth 4 times, put it over the mason jars and put a rubber band around the mouth of the jar and let gravity do most of the work. Once it stopped dripped I removed it and squeezed every drop of oil I could out of the bud.
You should have 1 and ⅓ cup of THC laden, fresh virgin olive oil green coconut oil now. Make the brownies as directed. I let mine cool, cut them roughly 2x4 or so (with half of that being more than enough to fly), individually foil wrapped them, split them into ziploc bags, put a bunch in my fridge, a bunch more in my freezer to be taken out, thawed and/or tossed in an oven to warm up a bit.
My friend, a huge stoner, had a little more than 1.5 of them and was high as a kite for more than 24 hours. My first time I had about that much and I got crippled, couch locked, passed out and was still wrecked 16 hours later. Now that we've all understood dosing, half a brownie works and still gets you in a good place for 10 hours or so.
I feel bad since I personally am not enjoying them and I feel like my talent at making things will go to waste since I probably won't any time soon, but alas all they do for me is make me tired and sleepy. My smoker friends, however, are in love.
