Am I the only one who is thinking strafer when Strafe is posted?

The Specialist's was my jam. I spent so much time on a Lobby server where I specialised in disarming players and then shooting them with their own hand cannons.

Thinking back I actually miss how I'd generally stick to a single server for every shooter I played where I'd be able to play with a group of people who weren't jackasses. It was nice recognising player specific frags and being able to chat. Now in matchmaking my kills means less and everybody who talks outside of party chat/clients is the worst person in the world.

I do miss that. I had a handful of favorite servers I'd rotate between that'd always be populated.

3DO one has Plumbers and Need for Speed but the CD-I one has that string of Name That Tune, Inca, and Dark Castle. I'm also fond of the Halcyon part of that one UPF.

Honestly, that whole era of 'games' is incredible to me and I wish they did more on it.

Although not entirely accurate, fact that they're brand new levels is really the only time you see speedrunners rely on skills over patterns and memorization. Essentially it's the opposite of blindfolded runs.
