I think tokyo drift is the one I've seen the most of, and that was only half of it on a shitty projector with laptop speakers. They played it during breaks at the driving classes I was taking. I remember very little of it. After that I haven't even seen 1 second of any of the movies.

Just finished this week's Yakuza 0. I cannot believe how awesome this is. I've never played any of them, and am blown away by how fucking cool/funny/sincere/weird the sidequests are. All the characters are great, the voice acting rules. I'm honestly torn to either keep watching Beast in the East or to play it myself.

I'd definitely recommend playing it. I bought it immediately after the 2nd Beast in the East episode and couldn't put it down until I beat it. So bloody good. (With a year that looks like it's going to be full of amazing games it might still be my GOTY -- complete surprise for me.) It's also making watching the series even better IMO, because I'm looking forward to their reactions to things coming up. (e.g., their excitement over the Majima reveal was exactly how I felt, and it was like experiencing it twice.)
Given that it'll take them months and months to get through the game there was also no way I could wait to see what happens next in the story.

I definitely recommend playing it as well. While the Majima reveal is pretty awesome, the game only continues to get more and more awesome. I would recommend you get to it soon and get ahead of them, before they get through the next two chapters which are really, really good.
I think at their pace, they'll get through Chapter 3 next week and start on Chapter 4.

Eh, they're on chapter 3 and some of the later chapters are really short (especially if you start to do less side quests, which happens naturally). Depending on how much optional stuff they do I could see them finishing it in 4-6 months.
Mmm about 25 episodes, well if they keep doing substories and if they try to do the business part, if not less than 20.

It was pretty evident in the open beta as well. Some of the quips they had were just really cringeworthy and bad.

Jeff quoted a tweet about there being an audio log in which two people have a way too long conversation about a severed penis.
Some real quality writing.
It all just sounds so bad. Especially coming off Horizon which I would commend in a lot of ways for it's writing.

That always bothered me a lot when playing that game, I even thought my disc was fucked or something.
Also, Yakuza OST will likely still win over P5's because at least it doesn't have a main singer who sounds like nails on a chalkboard.
