Cool. Kamen Rider parody next episode...

I'd love if they reference Sugita's Kamen Rider roles...he was Kivat in Kiva (I'm pretty sure one ending segment in one episode did reference this though), and just last season in Gaim he played a baddie.

I'm still waiting on a Joseph Joestar joke. :(

I forgot which one it is, but there's this one early episode...it's the second one with Sakamoto (his introduction episode is pretty poor though imo) I think, that's probably one of the worst episodes imo. I don't like Sakamoto in general, but I remember getting really mad at the episode...

That is, till the last few minutes where they have an amazing gag with the Justaway and Neo Cyclone Armstrong Cannon which rules...but beyond that, it's one of the first made-for-anime filler episodes by the staff, and it shows how weak they were at first before they got comfortable.

Although last season I got bored by that one Ring parody episode. Only episode of Gintama I haven't watched, actually, need to get around to finishing it. Something about it just bugged me.

A decent episode with a gorilla becoming a roach and trying to go on a good date with Otae. This is probably the most money Odd Jobs has ever gotten.

I think this is pretty much the last chapter focused on him. The anime is jumping around a lot for the adapted chapters this time. These chapters weren't originally so close to each other.

Yeah, I figured they had a lot of material to use and it seemed they pulled all the "summer"-themed chapters.

Plus you could tell this was a rather dated Chapter because of the "turn to One Piece or Naruto" joke when the latter's been over for awhile.

Next week is a Gintoki x Hijikata episode. The preview was really brief though, so not sure what to expect.

The Fist of the North Star riff gets me every time. Best joke of the series next to the Time Machine for me.

I guess the other parody during that scene was something from Rurouni Kenshin based on the technique they were talking about I think.

Goddamn are Toshi and Gin episodes the best. They just have such a strong comedic relationship. Loving the Kenshin references as well as more Fist of the North Star ones as well. Can't believe Otae fell in love with yet another fake version of Gintoki. My ship will always be Tsukky and Gintoki but Otae is still cute despite her cooking. Still this fucked up version of Gintoki's soul that took over a dead cat's asshole is fucking crazy.

Holy shit this was easily the funniest episode of Gintana in a long time. We had some love triangle romance between Otae, Gin, and Toshi. We had everyone switch bodies with lots of people which resulted in a lot of Okita x Kagura moments. We had an excellent use of the Katsura name gag. We had Shinpachi glasses jokes. It was all so crazy and funny which lead to the stupidest moment of Steven Universe with MADAO and Yamazaki gem fusioning into their ultimate forms of a giant turd man with shades on fighting the soul of Gintoki that took over a cat's asshole. Gintama is the dumbest/best anime out there. Holy shit 10/10.

Leave it to Gintama to make fun of human trafficking by making it sound like a regular 9-5 job. Glad to get more character development for both Sakamoto and Mutsu as they've needed it. The flashback scene makes me sad that Takasugi isn't a regular part of the gang as his interactions with Gintoki and the rest of the Joi rebels was hilarious. The gag of not showing the bad guy's face kinda lost me and the puke humor was beaten to death. Solid episode overall as Sakamoto's stupid laugh was dearly missed. Despite being cold Mutsu can be pretty cute.

I usually can't stand Sakamoto, hate every time he pops up, but he was actually good here.

Mutsu is implied to be the same race as Kagura, right? I know people have been thinking that for years since she wears the umbrella-hat.

I love Sakamoto and his dumb laugh. It's great how they constantly make fun of him for barely having any actual screen time, even though he's in every opening.

Yeah Gintama is the only shonen I know of where the females can easily overpower the guys. Not only that, they're well written too.

but hopefully it gives her even more development. Solid arc overall but the ending filler recap joke gag took the spotlight.

Nice to get some new lore on Mutsu and Sakamoto. These two appear not often enough (well, except for pretty much every opening in existance).
But yeah, the real gem was the post ED scene. Oh boy, how I missed that. Laughing through the whole thing. xD And I have a high demand for more Gintoki Sakata (F)!

It's not an important episode so I guess it's fine. Fans of Street Fighter should love it. Not a fan of the new OP at all besides the new look Shinpachi got. Gonna go listen to the ED all day now. Kagura was so cute this episode.

Fun epsiode, the animation was so-so, but there wasn't much happening though. Next episode is going to be Gro... I mean Gorilla time :p

Finally caught up to 6 weeks of Gintama.

Loved the new ED. OP was good too, but I felt the ED was better.

Anyways, this was a fun episode, the first half about style/image and the second half was the ultimate course. I loved how everyone mastered and already upgraded the secret move lol

A decent episode for our favorite stalker gorilla. The impact is kinda lost as it seems like a parody of Gintoki's past story with his sensei. It at least makes us remember that Kondo is a strong samurai despite being treated as comic relief character. It still hit me a bit hard at the end so it was fine. I'm not really digging the op as the animation makes it feel like an ed instead. The ed is still amazing and it probably should've been the op as the song is much better. Excited for Afro shinsengumi next week.
