Sucks, I can handle grinding because no matter what you're making progress. This casino stuff, it's still gambling so even with all the tips you can, and I'm sure we all have, put a lot of time into it can and come out with less than what you started.
Casino has net positive return in both poker and bingo. In the long run you will always win (unlike real casino). So you should just have patience and do not overreact over loses.
It becomes much more easy and relaxed after you are past 20-30m chips. You no longer have reasonable chance to lose all and go back to poker and only current fluctuations left.

Getting 1m chips was already a struggle for me so that's not really ressuring. I'm sure there's net positive in this stuff but depending on your luck it might not happen for an absurdly long time.

I just don't like how important the casino stuff is this game.

Whats the deal with the single battery drop rate? Should I not be farming on VH? I guess its moot since theres only half a day left but Id like to at least get one uncap on the light gun.

A few hours left and still no gun or katana.

Locking 4th weapon behind rng was a shitty decision.
Grind wasted that could've been spent on Magna fest...

Same issues. I think it's on their side ...

Not just you. I tried to play all day today but made zero progress cause I kept erroring out of the game. Pretty much gave up on getting a 4th Katana drop thanks to that.

Ok, I thought since no one else said anything about it, it was just me. :( Guess we suffer together. At least poker isn't affected though.
I've been getting a boatload of errors as well.

When I'm trying to load a raid battle, I'll frequently get: Request Time-out "Server timeout waiting for the HTTP requess from the client."

While the most annoying ones are midbattle.

Error Code: B-001-80521
Network Error

Weirdly, I seem to almost always get this error whenever I use Narmaya's Transient or Butterfly Effect for the first time in a battle. Once the battle reloads, I am able to use both abilities with no issue.

Edit: It seems like the code changes, as I just noticed it was B-001-41810 this time (both the above and this one were after using Transient).

Those network errors are so annoying, it's already hard enough to have time to hit something with those crazy mofo 1hiting everything...

Nothing like derping out and screwing up your party selection before starting a raid you could have MVPed.

Retreating from unfinished story quests is the only way I know of (joining raids works, too, but you can't get BP back unless you get 0 honors).

Ahh, fantastic. Thanks!

I might be done with this. I'm so beyond annoyed I don't know if I should continue if this is how the game is going to be.

140 half lix on this stupid fricken event and not a single weapon drop. Been running extreme constantly and nothing.

There is literally no point in me investing so much time if I'm not at least rewarded for it. It's just not fun. Unknown light weapons are too rare to put them on something like this. 300+ runs at ~3
minutes a run, that's 15+ hours and NOTHING to show for it after like hour 2.

Taking a break, maybe for good.

I know how you feel, I have a really low grind tolerance for getting rng drops and such, I kind of decided to just not care too much. I already play fairly casually, so I decided to just take what I get since I'm going to be going slow anyway. Being optimal in this game would kill me (not like I play many games optimally anyway). Otherwise, I would have dropped the game straight up. I agree that gating limited time items behind RNG is a bad design decision though. It leaves the option of no reward for your work open, which when put in an environment where you only get a limited time to get it makes it feel really bad. I'd have been fine if a 4th guaranteed copy was locked behind a stupid grind, since you can at least complete a weapon as a reward for your work, and leave the RNG to getting additional copies. As it stands, I'll forever have a 2* light gun sitting there, with no way to max it out. While I'm fine with that, it feels a bit odd that it will always sit there imperfect, even if I did everything the event has to offer (I mean, I didn't, but for someone who did it wouldn't be a positive feeling).

They should have just put a stupid price on the fourth weapon, at least then you could have made minimal progress, as opposed to now where all I got out of the grind was a few levels. Or even put a price on either a fourth gun or katana. I know RNG is RNG but the drop rates also seem unbelievably bad on this event.

I feel this way as well after doing a little over half what you've put in. I'm not quitting the game or anything, but there's no point making the game grindy as hell if I also have to fight a shit RNG system. I wouldn't even mind if I just had fallen short of a ridiculously high material trade goal, but having to hope against hope that every battle might give me the minuscule drop chance I need is stupid. I'm just going to pretend every event weapon only gets uncapped twice if this is the way the game goes forward. I should have dropped those AP pots into co-op or something and gotten something worthwhile out of my time.

Feeling the same.
The fatigue is real, especially during this 1/2 BP event where loot are dependent on RNG.
Suggest taking this game less seriously and just slowly progress at the phase you like.
(not liking casino?, just progress slower than the other and get the fun out of other things\
(not liking RNG drop?, just slowly gain RP and purchase in the long run)

Casual will have the fun in the small progress in the beginning.
Midlevel is the place where this game seriously need some balancing.
there is no real way of improving other than leeching the Omegas.

the bridge from Midlevel to Endgame is where most people give up i think.
Cant even have big improvement over 1/2BP, what will happens when it isnt.

Dont understand why they need to limit the Omegas hosting with 3 Golden Anima.
Letting people host without those limits will at least give them hope of 3x10% MVP chest.

With that being said, finally got my Katana after god knows how many run.
wont be touching this event anymore.

Small improvement that after this event, i could finally MVP my own Tiamat.
Wonder do people slowly get each elements team? Tiamat->Yggs->Levi->Collosus
or should just stick to leeching the element of their main? (couldnt MVP Collosus with fire team :( )

I try and use a team that has the advantage, and if nothing else my main (light). I got lucky with my account though, so I have solid SR and SSR characters in Fire, Water and Dark to help fill those elements out, even if I don't have a great weapon pool (mostly stat sticks). I can mvp Adversa with my light team, but its far harder than with my Fire or Dark teams even though the damage is much better.

So I guess to answer your question, leech until you can mvp. Its fine to put it up and let someone else kill it as well, since at this point you probably want to make some progress and some drops are better than none.

I haven't been back to Casino since I lost 100k out of 200K two months ago. It's chump change, I know, but it's so frustrating losing tokens over and over that I may as well have bashed my head into concrete for an hour. At least I'd have a bruise to show for it.

Now, I feel good. Playing casually lets me enjoy the game a lot more than if I were grinding.

Jason Kidd murdered my dog in cold blood!
Did about 2 million Colossus runs, including 3 a day where I host and MVP.

One colossus staff during the entire event.

RNG :(

Continue to grind, just need easier way to get 9 golden anima daily and the game will be much enjoyable :D

The important bit is right here! enjoy the game at your pace, enjoy the grind!
if you cant take get the fun out of the game, then take yourself out of the game and get another that you enjoy.

Despite giving up on the gun drop shortly after getting the Kamui trophy, there's been plenty of positive points for me over this event.

Extreme Kamui runs gave a nice share of exp and I was able to get my whole roster of like ~50 characters to their current max levels, although having Yoda made it easier to level more characters at a time. And most of the stuff in the shop was worthwhile I thought, for where I am (except the second stacks of CP and supreme merits).

I think I've had good luck with the Omega raid drops too. A dozen or so SSRs, including 1 Tiamat gun, 2 Colossus canes and 1 Leviathan dagger, a few fodders, and several summons. Plus a shitload of SRs to improve weapon pools of various elements.

Win some, and lose some, I guess.

You just need to accept that the game will pretty much do what it wants in terms of droprates, regardless of if an event is going on, increased droprates, whatever.

I spent about 300 BP pellets this Magfest and only got 1 staff drop, in the weeks before Magfest I got 3 just from regular leeching, it is what it is. GBF is a long-term project, at the very least you will be guaranteed to improve thanks to accumulated Valor each week.

On a sidenote, I generally try not to spend too much on these drop based Collab events, they can really make you lose love for the game, I'd much rather farm out the ones that have gacha tickets like GW and 4 Guardians.

This event was really shitty. I didn't mind because the Katana wasn't that good, my only light SSR is Apollo and the battle music was amazing (really).

In any case, I hope this event is an outlier. I can't say much about the cinderella fantasy event since my team was too weak to farm it, but the SF collab had decent droprate even on extreme, both the SFV and the SFU events (I didn't even grind that event, since it was during either Cocytus showdown or a 1/2 AP/BP one) - ran maniac twice a day for 5 days this time around, to no avail.

TBH, while I think this event needs some serious reworking, most of the things you could get out of it are mid-end game goals. You don't need a maxed unknown weapon, as good as they are, and although it sucks for new players we just got out of a fire-event streak that gave 1 SSR summon and 3 SSR weapons (one of the being an SSR Unk axe). 4 if you are using Florenburg as your main weapon (although it doesn't have a fire skill).

So, in other words. Don't burn yourself out over something you don't need right now and was Cygames' fault to begin with. Unless you are light (sorry, guys). It's the same with the casino, in case you are worrying about that - I have been playing for 3 months and just last week I managed to buy the daily 5 potions for the first time.

I think this game is all about patience and long-term goals, I think it's important to realize you don't need every single weapon available.

Also, congrats to eveyone who made it!

Whatever the online game, RNG will always be frustrating.
Personaly, I got used it.

I would've droped this game if it was like Dragon blaze where it need to have the meta team of the moment so at each new update you are forced to update your team with characters you never wanted because they will be more powerfull than the previous ones. If you don't follow the meta, you can't be in the ranking and if you can't be in the ranking you can't have crystals. And without crystals you can't make the new meta team of the moment.

Though, I'm only lvl 43 but I'm really enjoying this game at the moment.
I can make the team I want~

i don't mind the drop rate, but imo, they should've made it so you can get 4 copies of the weap through grinding the event, and made the drop optional instead of forcing you to get a drop in order to MLB it. it doesn't matter if the last weap cost like 200 tokens each, at least it's guaranteed if you take the time to grind it, instead of praying that RNGesus be kind to you

^^ Reading writings above me, I feel reliefed that I didnt start to do ST event (only grabbed crystals). Instead I did Omegas for the start of event. After last Monday reduced grinding alot, so much that for many days I didnt get single tear for spending AP. Still this event was success to me in many ways. Next is the Guild Wars.

Wonder if they're reprinting Milla, and Sophie. We're at least getting Yuri again and should be getting the weapons.

Hopefully we get new characters like Asbel and LEON MAGNUS.

I didn't play the first Tales collabo... are the characters good?

Shun

Other than Sophie they were pretty good, the main appeal was the 3 unknown weapons.

Yuri was loyalty, Milla was through playing the Tales of Asteria app, and Sophie was Treasure.

2 unknown fire and dark swords, Milla's Fair Sword and Yuri's Nibanboshi, and Sophie's light fist,

Just don't get your expectations too high, so they wouldn't dissapoint you.

I got 2 katana and gun in 70 tries... on the other hand I did around 400-500 Lumi runs during Magfest to get nothing. I still waiting for a single sword drop from Yggdrasil (and I have like 6 bows and 10 staves already).
A friend of mine got 4 Celeste axes in 2 days and finished event with nothing.

Luck is fickle, so I wouldn't put a lot of hope in it.

No why would you want Asbel? One of the worst protagonist in the series.

That belongs to Shing and Emil.

At least Asbel is popular. And he isn't straight up garbage like those two.

Since we already had Sophie my wishlist is Leon, Rutee, and then Velvet.
