A couple of other NYC GAF members have already asked this. The answer is always the same no matter which store you call: It's going to be available on Monday night. You're not gonna find a copy in the wild before then because again, Rockstar has a very strict policy against releasing it before the street.
I would advise against looking on craigslist because it could be a scam where people are selling pirated copies, people trolling and not having the game, and the pictures could very well be pictures of review copies or European folks that got it early which is a only Google image search away. You're better off waiting until the game is officially out.

Ok. So i can either with 95% chance get PS3 version on Monday around 19:00 and play all night long, or i can wait for Tuesday and buy 360 version which might or might not work better for me. What should i do GAF?

Oh sorry, my bad! It's just that any time I've had a Day 1 digital title, it's been uploaded at midnight Pacific.
How poorly did The Last of Us launch go? I don't remember Mass Effect 3 being too bad - the time remaining kept going up to start, but the game was finished and installed by the time I woke up.

Get it on whatever system your friends are on.
Basically the same- which is to say pretty good.
Seems to go back and forth. One guy may think it seems like PS3 is better, and vice versa. You're gonna be ok to go either way!

Interesting, I do know certain agents were being picky with vendors so perhaps they had to sign a contract 1st before being allocated stock?

I'm 31 and lately I'm always finding myself looking at the timer when I'm watching a movie to see how much time is left. Even some TV series (it's less problematic here because of the smaller duration). That's pretty annoying because I love movies and TV series but I can't help myself.

I expect you chose guaranteed next day.
As I said earlier in this thread, it's because next day deliveries are done through couriers who guarantee the delivery date, this means Amazon don't even try to ship those ones until the last minute, because they can be certain it will reach the customer on release day either way.
Royal Mail on the other hand is a lot less reliable, so Amazon ship those a couple of days earlier to stick to their release day promise, which results in some people getting them early.
