Whenever you pick up hitchhikers as trevor you have to drive over there youself. The first one you picked up randomly came with that tutorial in the upper left corner.

No to the first one and don't bother pimping out cars yet. The game will delete them and it is the most well known bug currently. As for cars not being at the safehouse, if you leave them out in the wild, they take time to get back to you, be patient, switch to another character and come back later, itll be there.

1. You can't

2. The car saving mechanic is completely broken. There is no sure way that any car is saved aside from the default cars, but even those might occasionally disappear until the game randomly decides to spawn them again.

Just affects your scoring. No easy money that way or we'd all being doing the biggest heist possible over and over again to buy our golf courses and airports.

Not always, many people have reported that Franklin's car has gone back to default. Haven't seen anything on Trevor's and Michael's yet but I haven't always been watching either.

All right, story time...

I decided to go hunting with Trevor. After I switched to him, I had to travel like half the map because I was somewhere in Los Santos. So yeah, I decided to take the scenic route through the hills. While driving there I found a really beautiful car, I didn't see it before. I wanted to tune/spray it a bit and save it. So I was like "well, let's make a stop at Trevors save house in the desert". So almost at the custom car shop I wanted to visit, there was a gang of motor drivers who stole someone's money. They also thought it would be fun to fuck up my car. I shoot back, kill them, drive back to the guy and give back his money. A few moments later my car wouldn't start anymore. I literally was away only like 2 meters... I liked the car so much...

Well, at least I had a nice drive in it.

Destroyed the car afterwards, because if I can't drive the car, no on can.

No. Play as Trevor, (seemingly in Blaine County/Los Santos County). Trevor runs into people who need rides for whatever reason. Two examples I ran into include

A drunk couple, and some blonde chick who wanted to surprise her boyfriend behind Vinewood

. Instead of taking them where they need to go, you will have the option of taking them to the cult. The cult icon will show on your icon when you pick them up.

Stranger missions only appear at certain times of the day. It's telling you that you are far enough in the game to start them but they may not be on the map at that time.
