Gotta say, Liberty City as a City is a lot better than Los Santos. I miss that huge metropolis feeling. It just seemed like there was stuff everywhere, all tightly packed in.

Los Santos is very wide open with only like 4 tall buildings. I LOVE the wilderness and all that, I just wish the actual city was bigger. Gonna take a while getting a handle for the place.

Oh and I thought Trevor meeting Michael was poorly done.
Dude sees his "dead" best friend, goes on a mission to save his daughter and just leaves after that?I was expecting a little.... more.

Pulled this from reddit. Some information on how cars are "saved". Courtesy of kepatugo.

I've testing around with saving cars, house garages and garages for the past hours. I thought it could be good to know how things works with the house garage / garage / car impound.
###### Houses
Every character has a different amount of vehicles. Michael have his classic Obey Tailgater car, but also deppending on which family members are home, he will have his family members cars parked at the house. Franklin always has his white Buffalo and the other vehicle depending on how far in the story you are.
Those cars can be modded and the mods will be saved. So I would suggest fixing the main cars first with body mods and armor would be a reasonable investment.
Since I've been testing with Michael and Franklin, both have house garages and to save a car, you just park it in there and then leave. If you park it, walk out get the garage door shut then grab your vehicle it will be removed from the garage but enters a "save state".
###### Garage
Have spots for 4 vehicles. Bicycles/bikes/cars. By standing outside the garage door with your vehicle you press the right arrow on the "arrow-pad" on your controller and you will be loaded into the garage on foot, and the vehicle is parked inside.
If you grab a vehicle from the garage by entering (triangle or Y) it inside, you will get loading screen and be loaded out to the street. The car will be removed from the garage but enter the "save state".
Note: If you enter on foot because your garage was full when you just was about to save a car, the car outside COULD be removed when you get back out. Happened to me like 50% of the time.
###### Car Impound
Every car that has been in the "save that" will get to the impound if you lose it. If you park a car in "save state" in any garage, that car will be removed from the "save state". You only have 2 impound slots.
Note: You can only have one car of the same type taken by the car impound.
For example:
---
If you mod a Carbonizzare, let us say, full body mods, lime green color.
Save it in the garage then pick it up. It is now in the "save state". While roaming the highway, you suddenly die by some evil cop or something. The fully modded, lime green car will be stored in the car impound since it has been saved in your garage once.
An hour later or so, you find a brand new white Carbonizzare parked by a douche on the handicap parking over at Del Perro Pier, you steal this care to feel a little bit better by yourself.
Despite the white color, you want to park this car in your garage in case you need it later. You save it in the garage, pick it up again and start your daily show-off by cruising Los Santos.
Cruising went well, alot of people took pictures of your ride and your ego is now complete. You park the car and take a walk downtown. The car is now lost. But since you made it enter a save state you will be able to get it back from the car impound. BUT!!! Your lime green, fully modded Carbonizzare are now gone. Forever.
---
###### Extra
This works SOMETIMES: If switch from a character while the are driving a newly picked up vehicle that isn't saved. That vehicle will be stored on the street outside their house next time you switch to them.
If there is any questions that you want me to try out, just tell me and I will update this post! :)

Let me guess. You didn't play with Free Aim right?
Damn. Now I feel stupid. I'll leave a free aim run for a future PS4 or PC playthrough.

I don't know man.I think it's just you. Our maybe I just suck but I failed a couple of missions Moe than twice and I thought it was pretty difficult at times. I also think when you storm through the game, it sniffs it the enjoyment.
I didn't totally storm through fully though, then it would've taken me like 2 days haha. I remember back with San Andreas I specifically limited myself to 1 mission a day at one point, and made myself do side missions outside of that.

One thing that might've helped me is that I replayed all GTAs from 3 onwards back in Spring. So I probably went into it super skilled up.

"More realistic" my butt.
The Helicopter controls are crazy, CRAZY!

Everything else is smooth sailing but the helicopter, crashing into every pole, every building on the way. Strange how that went through..

I prefer Los Santos, if only due to it's vibrancy. It also feels a lot more varied, and each place is brought to life better than it ever was in LC.

I don't have the game.

Could someone familiar with the state of the art console and PC graphics indicate whether this is the epitome of current gen console graphics?

If this isn't the absolute cutting bleeding edge of console graphics I might just skip and wait for the PC version.

I did play TLoU on PS3 and post on NeoGAF the best screenshot anywhere on the web of that game (which I feel is the console game with the best graphics ever so far) but I am wondering if it worth the effort with GTA V.

NeoGAF is the best gaming site by far and we deserve to also be recognized as the best site for high quality images of the best gaming has to offer so I am wondering if people in the know can tell me if the graphics of GTA V are the very best?

Sorry for slight rambling quality of my post I am slightly drunk.

See, I'd disagree. To me, Los Santos seems like a dead city. There are significantly fewer pedestrians and cars. It LOOKS better, but it feels less alive*

*the few pedestrians and whatnot in the game are a lot better than in IV

So is GTA:O getting a seperate OT? Makes sense to do that.

liberty city was good in terms of atmosphere but terrible as a fun environment

I don't think the impound lot works that way. I've tested it. Every car you abandon gets to the impound lot in order. Customized or not, purchased our stolen. You just have to take out any cars in the lot so the lost car you wanted can spawn.

Best graphics is very subjective, and it really varies from a game to anohther. But GTA V is definitely among the best looking game of the current gen consoles. It's the best looking open world game at least. If you want to be impressed, you might just as well wait for the inevitable PC port.

GTAV is nowhere near Naughty Dog's efforts. Nowhere near.

SO PISSED at this shit. I get to a spot where I'm just amazed at the locale and I can't take a picture. These are great moments that I know I'll never go back to. Have not been able to take a SINGLE PICTURE!

R* Dropped the ball hard on this, such a disappointment. I'll probably completely avoid GTA:O for a couple weeks until they get it ironed out. A laggy, buggy, online experience can easily burn me on something so it's best if I just wait.

I have to agree. I have had many awesome moments unable to be captured due to the camera not working. My game has freezed up a few times as well. I know I will go through the game again but some of those moments may not occur during other playthroughs.

I seriously don't remember the left/right rocking of the helicopter in any of the previous games. Its pissing me off because its making me motion sick.

What's the fuck is up with this. Please tell me its my stupid controller's drifting stick, I'll switch it up.

Wait for the PC version, Dennis. The graphics in GTA V are wildly inconsistent in order to shoe-horn the game onto current gen consoles.

The Last of Us is still absolutely the pinnacle of graphical technology, for this generation.

God I love this game. The weekend, finally.

The flying in this game is so much fun, I love that they have you take off, land, adjust landing gear etc. I love all that little stuff and I find it baffling how many flight sims I've played on console this generation start you up in the air and end abruptly when the mission ends.

For a game this immaculately polished, it is weird to see the clunky garage mechanics. It really shouldn't be this complicated.

By the way - is there any way to interact with NPCs while in the car? I distinctly remember early previews talking about being able to flip off people and whatnot.

I think flipping the bird is L1/LB while in a car.

Question. Are heists mission based or will I be able to set up heists on my own later on?

Like a freeform, 'hey I think it would be cool to rob this bank so let me figure all this out on my own'? No, that's not a thing. They just kind of present themselves as the story unfolds as missions. Some are presented as feeling a little more organic though.

It looks good but it's got issues. The image quality isn't great, their AA is ok but you can still see shimmer around the edges sometime.

How many heists are there in this game? I'm on the 40-ish % mark and there haven't been that many.

I remember how we were told right after the first mission that the people you choose have their stats levelled up after successfully completing heists. That feature seems a bit pointless if they're only going to be used a handful of times. I get the feeling that there were going to be more but they scaled back that idea.

Never mess with custom cars until end game anyways. No real reason to, need money to spend on more important things like ridiculously high properties.

If you push L1 to shoot while unarmed (use square to cycle weapons in a car) you'll flip people off. Most people don't take kindly to being flipped off, I've gotten into quite a few street fights this way.

Whoa. Was curious about the like meter you have with strippers, so decided to get one all the way up. Didn't expect that :lol (though maybe I should have).

Is it possible to get Chop back if you lose him? I had a bug where I couldn't tell him to go back to the house (pressing the button wasn't doing anything), so I just saved and turned the game off. When I played last night, Chop wasn't in the backyard anymore...

I tried searching on Google, and couldn't find anything. I'm seriously considering restarting a new game from scratch if Chop is lost forever... :(

Would be awesome to organize heists with just Franklin and Trevor. There's already gonna be a mission/content creator in GTAO so it SHOULD be possible.

But even something simple as an overhead map of a bank, tell character X to park here for get away, tell character Y to do crowd control, and you would be breaking in shit and getting the money. Then you could switch between all the characters.

I'm just ahead of you but feel similar. However seeing one dude post that he finished the game with 18 million bucks makes me think there's more to it.

I am at a side mission where you have to take a photo with the camera on your phone, but fucking Social Club thus Snapmatic does not work and thus I can't shoot a picture. Good fucking riddance, Rockstar. :')

Snip - should I get the game if graphics are not great?

It will definitely cause you to go into shock and I'm afraid you would die.

It's not the best looking game by any stretch. It has its moments, but you can't compare it to the linear romps of EPIC or Naughty Dog.

I'll say the graphics at first were pretty jarring for me. I was playing Tomb Raider and Saints Row 3 on my 60" HDTV through my PC recently, before that I was playing AC3 on the 360 ... but I got used to TR and SR3 PC level of graphics.

Once I adjusted, I can really admire what they've done. But if I was you? I would wait. You'd most likely die of eye starvation. Not enough pixels to feed them.

GTAV is nowhere near Naughty Dog's efforts. Nowhere near.

Graphically, sure. But that's expected because of the gametype. I've already enjoyed the characters and missions much more than any Uncharted though, but that's all just opinion.
