GT Sport E3 2016 Trailer

Your hyperbole is definitely consistent. On top of that we all know you'll be there day 1 anyway.

A license test / online play focused GT game with minimal content costing £75 doesn't float my boat.

Sport will be the first GT game I don't buy if bikes / IoM are missing. I've finally had enough of their shit.

esports take is definitely pretty interesting. But not sold on the full package at all. Will wait it out, though game looks gorgeous.

Is it 60fps? Dynamic weather? Real time lighting?

Their AA solution sucksssss, so much shimmer
Amazing visuals, Now I know Japan was not on the same wavelength with Naughty Dog/Ice team for tech on the PS3, but currently Sony first parties have several great solutions for AA in their games. It started with Infamous, then we saw what was done with Tearaway, then we had the best solution I've seen to date (UC4) and recently Horizon Zero Dawn which seems to be using a similar solution to UC4. Please for the love of god Poliphony, use that AA solution that these guys have showcased. I know polish is the last thing that comes through, but I really want a GT with great IQ again like GT3 on the PS2. Horizon had lots of shimmer, but boy does it look good now.

The lighting engine is very very good.
But this looks horrible for a simulator.
Is this still marketed as simulator?
Because if you look how the car behaves in this trailer it is very weird.
The car driving looks arcade and if you look if the cars go off the road they seem to spin like in Outrun (exaggerating a little).
I get the feeling they are spending the money more on replays and photo creation then on creating better gameplay and more features that matter for racing (like weather, physics,etc...)
Very sad because Gran Turismo (1 and 2) were groundbreaking.
If you look at Project Cars then you can see they have put the bar higher.

Damn, hyped after that trailer. Graphics look great, although I haven't seen Tokyo yet, I was super unimpressed with that track based on the footage released so far.

I still think GT7 will be the legit sequel but an E-sports game in between makes sense, to try and capture that market that hasn't really been tapped yet.

It looks like Gran Turismo on ps4. It's kind of achieved Madden status but the updates are 5 years apart instead of annually.

Definitely loving the graphical presentation. Would love if they could release a demo of this so I can get a sense of the new physics engine. I'm definitely more of a casual player when it comes to these sims, but I do really appreciate the elevated level of technicality over an arcade racer, and while I might not be able to discern how real-world-accurate the physics are, I've found that I actually do enjoy when things get a little more complex in terms of physics simulation, and several other games have done a pretty good job of layering physics complexity in that elevates the overall feel of the game in the last few years -- Project Cars and Forza 6 in my case. GT6 also felt like a good step up from GT5 for me, so hoping this game is pushing it even further, especially since this appears to be sort of a stop-gap release until GT7 comes out later down the road.

There are discrepancies though. Plus I'm still generally disappointed with the graphics/dithering/shimering?/poor shadows etc. And no beta....

This is what I don't like: GT Sport website image under graphics versus replay in new trailer. Leaving IQ out it, the tree trunk and general detail are worlds apart. In the description they are clearly muddying the water between what is gameplay and photo-mode graphics, too...

I look at the gameplay, the photo mode and replays and they all look different. Polyphony is definitely guilty of touching things up here and there. The game looks good, just not that wow factor I was expecting. GT7 will no doubt be the game many of us are waiting for. Still this trailer is better than the last one.

Ok so I just watched this on my big tv and the graphical flaws are a lot more obvious now. Still looks fantastic though.

Looks a bit rough, at least compared to DriveClub (visually). However, I'm sure it will be tweaked more and more. I mean, they were tweaking DriveClub even after release.

However, if there is 60 fps, it might be worth slightly worse graphics (not sure what this game is supposed to be).

I'm keen to try it :)

Does anyone know if Driveclub supports the G29 with Clutch + shifter? I'm thinking of getting a G29 for PCars and Driveclub (and now GT:Sport)

Since when are Polyphony Digital known to push a system close to limits? stop complaining about graphics and shit, sigh. they will do their best to present a visually good game.

If you pick a similar angle and match resolutions it looks almost the same as the photomode pic.

I kinda like the whole "Driving Is For Everyone" message.

I don't know if anybody else does this or if I'm crazy for doing so, but I'm one of those people who'll buy really deep and expansive hardcore simulator games but only enjoy them in a casual way.

I like messing around with simulators as toy chests because of how feature-rich they tend to be, and because they put a lot of pretty graphics and deep gameplay into something that isn't a shooter. I just don't get super deep into all the expert driving or flying or tuning stuff. One of my favorite games right now is ArmA 3 even though I'm not ultra deep into hardcore combat simulators. I just like playing around with all the different weapons, vehicles, and maps, which ends up being hours of fun anyway. I did the same thing with the last couple Top Spin games. I've played like 70 hours of Elite: Dangerous but always play with the flight assist and only go the explorer route. What I'm saying is, if this means Polyphony is trying to make a more accessible driving simulator, or one for people who might casually flirt with driving as well as hardcore driving enthusiasts, I might be all for it.

I've always kind of wanted people to try to make "intermediate hardcore simulators."
