"GT7 is going to be a game that matches the very era that we live in, in 2015/2016"

But imagine an open world where its actually the real world based off google maps. You have to do road trips between racing tracks and account for all car maintenance along the way whilst avoiding the the cops and the Ebola zombie apocalypse by shooting guns out the window of any of the 100 variants of the GTR that you will have at your disposal.

GT x NFS x Dead Rising

10/10 game of the forever. The most soulful game of all time.
Make that in another game for these that wants that but not Gran Turismo or any sim racing.

I want to choose my track and drive.

Before, we simply didn't have the processing power to do the types of things we set out to do. Finally, with the PS4, we have that power. Our AI cars will now drive in the most perfect single file line imaginable.

But games have to have soul now. They also have to have open worlds.

By 2015/16 this will only become more apparent. If not GT will play like a racing game out of the 90's. We all know how frustrating that would be.

I just hope they evolve the series somehow and improve sense of speed. GT5 was amazing to look at for its time but they haven't really done much to improve it. GT6 wasn't that much better either. My hype is low for GT7 at the moment.

Tell that to the car manufacturers.
You know he's just lying when he says no damage because of the manufacturers yeah? The guy behind Assetto Corsa was recently asked about damage in racing sims and says no manufacturer has ever mentioned anything about it and they can do anything with crashing the cars short of showing blood and decapitations.

As long as it contains those smooth jazz licks I've come to expect from my GT games I'm on board!
Seriously though I fear that my hatred for these barely there noodlings has almost turned into a nostalgic affection solely due to my increasing age

It amazes me how they take forever to make an average game and turn 10 makes a forza every year that is amazing.
Not entering in this point but Forza 5 is a very rushed game.

PD just take forever to release GT5 but to be fair it yet have more content than any other race sim in the consoles (and maybe PC)... GT6 seems small in terms of content compared with GT5.

BTW Vision GT in GT6 is amazing.

I am looking forward to the next game as I have all the previous games. I certainly hope he holds true to his comments as I believe the GT series as a whole has just become complacent. For me the series has always excelled as a time trial experience but has really fallen behind in the gaming aspect. However the lastest update for GT6 with the 12 sectioned long race gives me some hope that that they have some ideas.

If that steering wheel dongle with promised FFB does magically appear in the next few months and if GT7 comes out before I die of old age then I might, might, just be buying me a PS4. They'll be £50 by then, won't they?

I was under the impression that the premium models in GT5 / 6 where actually modelled at a far higher quality then effectively scaled back down to fit the PS3 requirements? I cant remember where I saw this and someone please correct me if I'm wrong as I have no source.

But if that were effectively true, there should theoretically be no need for premium/standard split anymore? As you would I'm assuming use original renders (maybe probably still scaled back a bit) for the ps4 version of GT?

I also wonder if we will be getting a new Physics engine? For all of their pretty bland games to speak of I appreciate the level of detail those guys try get to. I am however looking for something far more cutting edge not in terms of poly count for car models, but the whole driving experience.

Maybe they'll have Tesla cars that you can race and actually have to wait the full time during the race for them to recharge. That would be so realistic

I meant that you could play your own music in GT5/GT6.

Well that's a good tip, thanks.

But I still love the Japanese jazz artists on GT5 and it was a big disappointment that none of them (or any other good music imo) showed up on GT6. That was probably my biggest gripe with the game.

Man, that dude needs a slap to the present times. No damn excuse to be using those damn cars.
I want these dam cars... one of my favorite cars in GT5 is a standard.

If you don't like the just don't use them.

I don't want to loose any car in new GT interactions... so make premiums the new ones and standard the cars from old games.

Best of the two worlds.

Going 419km/h (260mph) looks like you're going 100mph or slower. They really need to fix this.

Meanwhile, in the Assassin's Creed Unity 30fps thread....

I don't see a problem with this.

I do agree that 30fps feels more cinematic than 60fps. Main reason why movies lock their frame rate below 30 and soap operas stay at 60 for 60hz, 50 for 50hz.

This generation of gamers act too much like spoiled brats who want everything their own way and not the director's way in which the game is intended to be played and seen.

Would making GT more "cinematic" give you that sense of speed?

Yeah that's cool. If GT 7 cars include a decent damage model/livery editor etc then won't 2 gens old assets hold it back somewhat?

Gotta let go at some point.

I thought Kaz confirmed they are going nowhere, there staying.

Sure hope so! Can´t wait to take this bad boy for a spin on my PS4 in 2018

I don't think it will hold back having these cars... Kaz said it is easy and fast to put them in the game.

In terms of development, they're holding PD back when they have to go back and polish them up to make them look better for next Gen hardware. Their team is too small for the task of making them all look better.

Kaz said in a interview that it takes so little time to put all of them in the game... like few weeks.

There is no reason to not put them again.

BTW It is confirmed and the handle of the standard cars are unique.
