I guess it still wasn't enough to help the industry rebound....or to warrant a current gen patch for that 70 million unit seller lol

2000 hours in GTA V Online well spend!

Can't wait for GTA VI which will be better in everything and also features the best city a.k.a VICE CITY again!

This game is like roaches.

At the end of a nuclear war the only thing that survives is roaches and Gta 5 sales. Who in the fuck is still buying this game? I thought everyone owned it.

"Diverse portfolio" = GTA and Red Dead. It's been 13 years since we got a game that wasn't either those.

Where is Bully, Max Payne, Midnight, Table Tennis, Manhunt, Agent, or new IP? :messenger_tears_of_joy:

GTA V was a piece of history. I remember during its launch week, when I was at a mall, a kid approached me and asked me to pretend to be his uncle, using my ID to buy a copy of the Xbox 360 version.

Still I'm replaying GTA 4 and it feels way better having a real protagonist, having 3 diffrerent is like having none. VI could get it right tho as the protagonists being a couple seems more interesting.

The GTA 5 sales are just insane.

This is why GTA releases aren't just big gaming events anymore, they're cultural milestones.

R* probably holding out till PS6 gen starts to remaster RDR2. Just artificially inflating demand at this point.

I'm not proud of it, but this point, I'd even pay for a next-gen upgrade ....
Try the PC version. There's nothing like it. I couldn't believe how much better it was over both console versions.

We're never getting a console patch. Rockstar is such a weird company :messenger_neutral:

A bit like Sony and Bloodborne.

It should be the opposite, rdr2 is a much better game than gta5 in pretty much all aspects except online i guess.

As much as I like RDR2, I disagree. I also think the games shouldnt be compared, they are so vastly different in setting and possibilities, that the only thing they have in common is the open world.

Crazy numbers but not surprising.
I hope they develop a new IP after GTA6, like a medieval or sci fi setting though.

I don't think they are that different, they are hyper realistic open world with heavy commit on weighty animations, only rockstar does these type of games, the big change is the location and what it bring to the table, cars instead of horses etc.

Combat mechanically sucks in both but rdr2 has the better version of euphoria and the gore so shooting folks just look and feel much better and i would argue that rdr2 plot and charas are way better than anything on gta5.

What is superiorin gta5? The 3 character thing? That's just a design choice and arthur is a better character than the 3 gta5 protagonist combined in term of writing.

70 million and no next gen patch. The sales would almost double if they released one.
This so much, the sheer money printing machines those 2 games are and they can't be arsed setting aside a small team to produce next gen patches, greedy motherfuckers..

Not at all. Especially if you use free aim. Have been doing that since GTA IV, and never looked back. Anyone still playing this with a lockon mechanic.. what are you doing 🥲

And to answer your questions, I think GTA lends itself more to wacky crazy fun, and going on rampages or driving around.

I absolutely love RDR2 but I never really went on a killing spree because there's barely anything interesting to do in that way.

GTA is more fun to mess around in, therefore to me it is a better "game".
