When I was a child I loved their music...Now, tons of years later I am re-listening to their albums and I am amazed at how good they still sound. My favourite album will always be the Spaghetti Incident.

Since I don't have you, Down in The Farm, Welcome to the Jungle ! So great songs !

Eminem

goddamit, Griese!
I prefer their longer, more ballady type songs. But a great band, nonetheless.

Civil War, Estranged, November Rain....my three favorites.
Also gotta love their Live and Let Die cover. But they also have one of the worst covers EVER in Sympathy for the Devil.

Appetite for Destruction is their best, imo.

I'm a big fan of GNR. Their best album I think is Use Your Illusion 1, but I guess it depends on what "era" of Guns N Roses you like most. Appetite and Lies were totally different style than UYI1&2 and Spaghetti Incident.

Still, my favorite song belongs on Appetite For Destruction. "Mr. Brownstone" is an absolute classic, and I couldn't live without it.

Forgot about November Rain, yes Awesome ! Except for the ballads which have the opposite power, all their music transforms my sorrow into rage.

Edmonton's milkshake attracts no boys.
They're amazing. One of the best bands ever. THe have so many classic:

November Rain
Civil War
Estranged
Welcome to the Jungle
Paradise City
Mr. Brownstone
You could be mine
Rocket Queen
Don't Cry
Sweet Child O Mine

Plus even Axel Roses new song is amazing. Has anyone heard Madagascar by the new GnR? I love that song.

Great band that left their mark on Rock in a short time. Awesome albums all around, it's just too bad that they couldn't get along well enough to stick together and really cement their status as a legenary rock and roll band.

My friends tend to be more amazed at Use Your Illusion albums but well my first one was TSI. It's the one that I remember best too although it's pretty irregular.
Great songs in all albums though.

Some up and coming new band should just release an album called "Chinese Democracy" for the hell of it. I'm sure they'd get tons of free publicity from Axl trying to sue them for stealing his title. That would be hilarious.

Offsrping said that there last album was going to be titled Chinese Democracy but backed down after Axl put pressure on them.. or at least thats what i read.

Don't know why Offspring would feel so threatened since they have their own label... well, IIRC, Dexter does. That and they're the smartest band ever...

I own every album and I still listen to them from time to time (I saw them once during the Use Your Illusion tour).

Appetite for Destruction is a perfect rock n' roll album. I can listen to the entire thing without skipping a track.

Don't Cry(original) is without question my favorite Gn'R song.

"...Bob Guccione Jr. at Spin, what? You pissed off that your dad gets more pussy than you? ---- you. Suck my ------- dick!"

I had no idea what that was about, but it was my first album with ---- in it, and for that I will always treasure it.

I basically feel the same way, but I saw them in concert at Madison Square Garden.

G 'N F'N R is my favorite, bestest band of all time. I even purchased the Hollywood Rose album - I might be worse then a KISS fan.

Which is why it pains me when I have thoughts like ..."there is a chance Duke Nukem Forever will come out before Chinese Democracy" or "when Chinese Democracy comes out, the title might be outdated as Iron Curtain is today."

On the one hand, i wish the old band could have stayed together like a U2 or Rolling Stones. On the other hand, I see Metallica....

You are no longer allowed to be a GNR fan. Spaghetti was the worst GNR CD I ever heard, and I am a big fan. I have bootleg vinyls from them when songs like November Rain were still called Sweet Lorraine.

Honestly, that cd is rubbish. Appetite for Destruction is by and far the best Heavy Metal/Rock CD around.

I saw them in 2002 or 2003 when he toured with the new lineup, and they were ok, but its not the same without Slash and Co.

YOUR TASTE SUCKS

Estranged is possibly my favorite song ever. November Rain, Civil War, Don't Cry, Patience, everything on Appetite for Destruction -- so much greatness.

This should be its own topic, but alas, I am yet a Junior Stalker. So, I'll just post this news here. 3 30-50 sec clips of a new Guns'n'Roses song has leaked to the net. I'm not going to post links, but Google is there for you. The song is called 'IRS'. And let me just tell ya, it is BADASS. You will not be dissapointed.

Yah the new song I.R.S is shaping up to be pretty good, but I can't find any good quality clips of it. As far as I know the only existing clip of it on the internet is off of some radio station and the quality is absolutely terrible.

When I saw them a couple yrs back at MSG, they played 3 songs from Chinese Democracy:

The Blues
Madagascar
and I assume I.R.S

and Madagascar was awesome and so was the blues. I dont remember IRS, but I will take a listen now....

Ah yes, Guns 'n Roses. I appreciate them, because thanks to their brand of "rock", I got so sick of rock music in general that I stopped listening to it for about two years. And then I got back into it and became a Radiohead fan. :p

So, thank you for that GnR. :D

Yeah Spaghetti Incident was crap. Just thrown out because GNR was breaking up and they needed something to put out to satisfy the record company. I hear Chinese Democracy will be the CD of the year though...
