Just got home! The lines were fun if incredibly smelly with everyone lighting up every 15 minutes.

But I got it and caught the very last bus back!

Finally got my copy! Picked up a Normal Edition and the Season Pass thing, worked out a bit cheaper but I loose the video stuff and soundtrack. :(

I even got the specialisations thing but I won't be using it. :D

Well, this might just be the smallest scale and most linear Halo ever. Still awesome, but I miss the massive play areas.

There is definitely a big Metroid Prime influence here as far as visual design goes, there's even a weapon that fires
a wave beam
. :p

All I can think about now is how great it would be to have a Metroid Prime on the level of Halo 4 visually, here's hoping the Wii U could one day reach such visual heights (I have my doubts, 343 have done an incredible job).

where the hell did all my emblems go? Please tell me I just can't see them yet. And level 21 to unlock the circle background for emblems? What is this insanity

Also, whats with the extremely limited controller options? Why can't I put sprint on my right joystick sheesh.

Well, 343 did hire some Retro Studios guys who worked on Metroid Prime :)

Just got my copy! Installing now.

I said it in September and I'll say it again now, FIFA 13 and Halo 4 could easily see me through many, many months of gaming. Of course I'll buy other games too (lots of good ones are a coming) but man, Halo has me pumped!

I heard that also and just shook my head. Very poor review if you ask me.. the end line about drifting apart from it annoyed me but whatever. Game is awesome who cares.

For those who came from a midnight launch at Best Buy or GameStop, were there any issues with getting the pre-order DLC codes to print out on the receipt?

Yeah our store had them. I mean, I had the slip to get the game, but they couldn't guarantee us the game unless they were able to print out DLC codes. Embarrassing.

Really, I find it kind of unresponsive....hmmm......maybe I just need to re-adjust to the pace of the game, I find it a little slow to respond.

Attended the midnight launch at a Microsoft Store in Los Angeles. Took a photo with the mo-cap actors for Master Chief, Cortana, and Lasky. Nice people. :)

I feel bad for all of the people in this thread who ordered the game online and have to wait. Why not just grab it in a brick and mortar store? :/
