Preordered from Newegg on Fri. evening for $47.99 with no tax and free shipping. Got an email from my doorman this morning saying it's there. I really hope the line for voting isn't too bad for me tonight!

I have to say, the multiplayer is great, but the lag teleporting that happens is probably the most rage inducing thing next to Reach's betrayal booting system I have experienced in a Halo game.

First. Holy shit at the graphics. Everything also sounds better. The assault rifle is beastly with it's musical tones.

Second I have one or two questions about MP:
1)So I take it more armor customization stuff is unlocked as I rank up? Visor colors and the such?

2)Er, did I actually unlock the LE Content? IE the map packs? I know they aren't available yet but it didn't say anything on the DL screen about getting a season pass. It was just labeled the infinity something package and talked about the armor stuff.

Wut? Sound is one of the best things about Halo 4. Everything sounds awesome. The thing about the music is that it sounds "low" compared with voices and ambient sound, but if you look closely, there are some many great pieces.

You should be ok then, I finished campaign this morning and it was fine.

If you download the new Halo Waypoint app it has some background information about the main characters and things in Halo. Maybe worth a look if you are waiting to get the game.

1) yes you start seeing them as you increase in rank and as you start commendations and challenges

2) I wondered the same thing, but I did notice that I could see all of the Specialisations once I had entered all my LE codes, there were only 3 otherwise.
I suspect it is built into the Forward unto Dawn code.

I love this game. Holy crap. I've always wanted them to include the expanded fiction, and boy did they. So good.

I'm on mission 6, I believe. Gonna play through a few more campaign missions and then try a few multiplayer games before work.

Frankie, and everyone else at 343i, you all should be super proud. Well done.

Man. This really does trump at least a couple of the past Bungie Efforts. Gameplay really is dialed in and the new enemies are refreshingly tactical. Also the GFX. Buried and Forgotten, pretty much the entire level, should not be possible with that IQ and texturing in places.
343i really does their workers pedigree proud.

1] Yup, you got it, lots more.

2] The helmet and other armor pieces with "PRIME" in the title or description. Thats the only stuff I know for sure that came with the LE. The season pass is what you already have I believe. Dont buy the season pass in the marketplace until you find more concrete answers. Im pretty sure the maps in the season pass are included but I AM NOT POSITIVE 100%

First impressions are very good. Campaign seems promising - the presentation is amazing and the soundtrack suits the new, somewhat grittier mood - and the multiplayer is a lot of fun. Can't wait to get back to it once the server-problems get sorted.

My LE Console arrived a little bit ago. Wow. Coolest console I've seen/owned. I love how the blue leds light up a good chunk of both the translucent controllers and console. Console is downloading updates now, but it's kinda making me nervous because it's emitting no noise whatsoever. My last slim was quiet, but it wasn't completely silent like this. Hopefully the fan isn't busted.

So everyone sees two vanilla specialization unlocks? If that's the case then the code I entered was just for the armor becuase I only see 2.

I haven't entered the forward unto dawn code yet.

Another complaint I have is the way ending your campaign game and then restarting and not being where you left off. My bro and I started back on mission 3 and I selected bravo...well we beat mission 3...no achievement.

This game looks amazing, and love the audio. As for multi-player, it seemed faster paced(probably because we can all sprint now) and it seems we're a little more fragile? Lots of kills. Only managed 1 match so far due to server issues, so I can't comment much on it. The one match I did play was surprisingly smooth with no lag even with my DSL connection.

Also, they did make a post on the official forums saying that they're investigating the server issues.

My brother just told me that he wants to spend the whole weekend with me... out of the house! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh and I won't even get it till tomorrow.

So is the 14 day trial like a limited access thing? I keep getting the "You must have a gold subscription to do this" error when I try different gold only things, but I'm still able to play Halo multiplayer.

Is matchmaking really slow or is it just me? (Yeah I know it states servers are down, but I can find games just really slow)

I think it was like that in Reach as well, you have to resume your checkpoint for it to work properly.

Not sure, but some stuff like sales don't always work with Trial codes.

The single player campain is boring and it doesn't last long. It's the same tactical sandbox game we all played on 360 but you might want to wait for the co-op dlc's. As a Halo fan i expected much better than a multiplayer focused game, tho. I think i'll stick to bf3.

They are activists. Some of the 0's are there solely to "balance the overly positive reviews." So it's not just children, it's full grown man children. In any case, most exclusive games go through that issue. User reviews are largely useless on Metacritic for video games. I can read a book or film review on Amazon and get very good information. I cannot say the same for the largely idiotic video game audience.

I have only played the first level so far, but Chief directly asks this question to Cortana and she says (paraphrasing) that it's been four years and maybe they are a rogue faction or something so it's not like the game is ignoring the story in Halo 3...even the characters are wondering why there are covenant forces attacking them on the ship.
