Yeah, they occasionally do this evasive 'hop' thing that sends them like ten feet in any direction.

Speaking of Grunts, my beef with them now is that the methane tank totally blocks their heads from behind, so it's impossible to one-shot them until they turn around.

Been playing my copy for the last couple hours courtesy of Future Shop sending it early. Controls feel...snappy? Quicker? Maybe I'm just used to Reach, but the controls really do feel good. Whoever said the plasma pistol doesn't track as much anymore must not have been talking about campaign 'cause it sure as hell does there. Autoaim's a bit...generous.

Definitely plays like Halo so far - my friend who hates the series wouldn't be converted by what little I've played. Really easy on Heroic but I'm not far in at all.

Dude its pretty hard honestly. im playing on normal and there are parts where i have struggled and im not THAT bad. enemy hits really do knock down your shields..

I'd love to see it return, but I'm certainly not going to hold my breath for it. Campaign scoring on the other hand... that should've been in the game already. It's a shame no one asked about it in the bulletin.

Yeah, ok, this was good. I mean the series had its flaws and cheesey moments, but it was totally worth it. So man cool goodies in this episode.

Finally decided to late pre-order from Newegg with the latest coupon. Very rarely buy anything around release date now, but the Halo series in general (I read the books as well) are exceptions. Plus $12 shaved off the top is agreeable enough. The Halo 4 campaign gameplay and greater Chief/Cortana relationship focus look and sound great from what I've sampled. Now to avoid further spoilers wherever they might show up.

There's a perk for faster reloading/swapping. I dunno what footage you're watching, but that might be what makes it seem so fast.

You only need to use the first disc either way. If you try to go into multiplayer it'll give you the option to install it from disc 2 or just download it all from Live.
