The pistol sounds like fun:

Lightweight competition pistol carried by Spartan operators who prefer a no-frills backup firearm. Quick draw Magnum with fast-reload magazines. Iron sights only, no Smart-Link module is attached.

“The [REDACTED] is by far my favorite weapon in this next update. The Ultra Rare variant is crazy good at taking down Wasps, Banshees and Phaetons. It feels so badass hauling around a [REDACTED] on the battlefield.

Halo 3 Rocket Pod?

That name honestly sounds so much cooler than "Master Chief"

After all this time, you finally get the Seeker Intrepid. I'm so proud of you ;_;

is the leader of the haloGAF spartan company someone who browses this thread often? I want to join.

my gamertag is RobinsonJD, I sent a request to join just a minute ago.

I see. I'm planning on getting TMCC tomorrow, but I wouldn't mind picking up Guardians soon after. I haven't played Halo since 3, haha.

MCC is good if you're mainly playing the campaign. The online is serviceable now, but don't expect too much from it. H5 is great though for the most part. If you're mainly going to be playing online I'd pick up H5 before MCC tbh. However, MCC is a great value if you want to play through the campaigns.

God I'm fucking sick of playing with people with little to no situational awareness or ability to make intelligent decisions in our parties.

I know we say it all the time as a joke, but christ can you fucks 'get gud' already?

I was going post that the smart link/ads on pistol ruins a lot of pistol shots with it's unnecessary holographic sight display. So to have a new pistol that has a clearer sight is welcome. I also wish they could add a classic scope pistol variant for those who might want it.

i'm just over playing with randoms who sprint from stronghold to stronghold, feels like nobody is ever happy to just hold 2 points... yeah go for the trip cap if you're dominating, or go for the 3rd one if you're going to lose one, gotta get some power weapons and set up a good defense!

It seems to be a common sentiment that people like Titanfall 1's movement and general design better than Titanfall 2. I hope the same doesn't happen with Halo 6 when comparing it to Halo 5.

There's a solid foundation here, so don't screw it up Stinkles!

The difference was striking. Idk how Respawn could fuck it up so bad. Hopefully Halo 4 was 343's Titanfall 2 ;p

Are you guys still sweating in BTB and Warzone?

So no fixes for Firefight or Infection yet? and still no objective gametypes?!

I have a feeling those issues are never going to be addressed.

I miss the days when multiplayer maps were pretty much tested and balanced at launch. I hate having to re-learn weapon placements every couple months because nobody can get it right the first time.
They weren’t wrong or bad at launch (except for some of the DLC maps). The point of this is to freshen up the arena experience, they’re not trying to fix it because it’s fine already.

Also I’m glad they’re testing Overgrowth and Riptide. Overgrowth strongholds is actually pretty decent and Riptide could be okay if they made it possible to regain control after losing blue, which they seem to have done.

Will have to play it first though.

Edit: Haha, the Beyond forums immediately went into meltdown mode over these changes.

TF2 is extremely disappointing. I actually uninstalled it to make room for TF1.

Yeah now I'm thinking about cancelling my TF2 preorder for Forza Horizon 3

I've gave up on it. I don't think they have enough time to redesign all those faults. I still will buy it but only for appointments on my job and it is paid by my company.

I think they said they planned a social objective playlist some time ago.

I loved titanfall, but this beta seems like they basically removed everything from it I enjoyed. How did they fuck it up so bad??

Guess my shooters will continue to be halo and destiny.

It's not even sweaty shit. It only becomes sweaty because folks have no concept of not betraying each other when one person is camo'd... or running over a teammate who is standing/crouching somewhere sniping... or taking a second to notice a friendly call sign already killing someone before firing a pointless rocket... or not nading their teammate to death because it can help them get a kill on an opponent (who again is camo'd and already killing the opponents). Or not helping the two people running a flag (that they've already got halfway across the map and should easily be home-free) because it apparently takes six people to kill the enemy flag carrier in our own base while the friendly flag carrier is asking for help for > 30 seconds already. Meanwhile, the 6 people on the other team who have respawned are killing the flag person and their sole escort. Then *still no one tries to kill the people returning the flag and get a touch*, presumably because their precious K/D is super important. Or throwing nades into a stronghold that we're defending because we called out people attacking it, killing only the friendlies in the hill and losing it as a result.

I mean, this is just a few games we played tonight, but it's quite literally every time. Like, it feels like picking up a powerup or weapon in these parties is carte blanche to get betrayed or shot or run over. I'd estimate it at 1 out of 3 times. It's absurd. Even just normal shit is too much prevalence. I get that sometimes you shoot your teammates and there's friendly fire. But when your teammate isn't moving (or is crouched and moving slowly or whatever) and *you keep shooting* and apparently can't process that you're doing something wrong, it gets pretty damn annoying.

I'm calmed down now, but it's practically a meme at this point.

Clips from tonight to cheer up the topic a bit:
Mantis jumps off the map
Snipeltaneous
Overkill at the buzzer

Tested for what? AIDS?

Couldn't have said it better. LOL

Doubt they will make it into Team Arena. The maps are pure garbage and lack everything from 343i's Arena/Competetive design philosophy.

Looks okay'ish I guess? Not sure how I feel about Iron Sight Pistols, though. Could be cool if they allow it to be a starting weapon for Custom Games.

I'm most excited about the Forge Content + W10 Forge anyways.

Halo 3 Rocket Pod?

My guess is the Reach Plasma Launcher. We already know that it is in the game.

I don't know Reach Plasma Launcher is good against air vehicles. It was also in Halo 4's files but never appeared so that doesn't mean anything.

It only mentions that the Ultra Variant of said [REDACTED] weapon is good against air vehicles. Many of the higher tiers have weapons were the projectiles travel faster, so that wouldn't be surprising to me.

A Rocket Pod doesn't fit the rest of the description in my eyes. It's certainly not "badass". But for all we know, it could be everything.

That could explain something, good find.

Well, I got to Diamond 6 and was pretty close to Onyx then I played the same premade of +2000 Onyxes a few times and I’m back at the beginning of D6.

It just annoying though it feels like I’m underperforming every game. 60 games played this season and I have a .8 k/d with 43% w/l. Just let me go to Platinum or something.

Tf2 has got to be my most dissapointing long anticipated sequel. Yes, worse than reach or halo 4. They fuckery up virtually everything enjoyable from the first.

Such as? Haven't played TF, this is the first I'm hearing of massive disappointment for the sequel.

- Reduced the movement speed both as pilots and titans.

- Removed AI from the game. This is bad because it leaves the maps feeling extremely empty.

- Titans are no longer on a Time and are instead score based. This means far less titans from most peoples experience.

- Terrible maps compared to the original (obviously a small sample size due to just being a test but not a good sign).

Just a few of the things off of the top of my head. Read the impressions thread for more detailed posts. Almost everyone in there is disappointed

For all we know, I could be very wrong. Just speculating as usual. :p

It's because your MMR doesn't deplete over time, which is a mistake in my eyes. Plus you encounter Champions way too easy anyways. The amount of times that I did with 1800 CSR, while there was a 8000 CSR between pros and me, is just ridiculous.

I see. Isn't TF2 supposed to be cross-platform? Lack of AI might be some of that power o' the cloud business...

You haven't been in the impressions thread on gaming side then.

Jem summed it up rather well. Tf1 always felt like a cod- styled shooter but with it's own DNA. It was all about fast movement, verticality and freedom of movement enabled by parkour, massive scale battles with loads of ai fodder, and the regular inclusion of fun to use and useful titans all within very well crafted maps supporting all of this.

Tf2 removed virtually all of this and now feels like cod but with some parkour and occasional robots. It's lost what made titanfall it's own thing. It's slower, maps are wide open limiting the movement the amazing movement of the first game and promoting camping, ai bots are all but gone (at least in the capacity of the first), and titans are rare and shitty.

Such a disaster of epic proportions and I'm super sad.
