Hmm. Gotta be honest from my first play, I'm not fully feeling it in this current form. I enjoyed it, but I don't think I'll get much replay out of it. I'd agree with folks that it felt fairly easy, and that was without busting out any REQs till round 5, but I'm sure that can be tweaked between now and official launch. I just think that the structure in general isn't for me.
 
So what kind of objective variety are we looking at? Not gonna be able to play until later :/

Anything like Assault? Deliver package to location? Or escort missions?

The ones I just got were kill X amount of Y enemy. There was a defend the base I think? Then a final boss (in this case Warden).

Objectives switch up from match to match though.

I want the objective to appear in the middle of the screen or something for 3 seconds before dropping down, its so tiny I didn't notice it for 3 rounds. I was sortve just running around looking for red arrows or boss emblems.

100+ AI kills in one match. All my commendations will be done by the end of the night lmao. Just use a Ghost and you can splatter every single enemy right when the spawn/drop down from the Phantoms

I also used a legendary AI Kills XP boost during this match, got 21K XP at the end of the match

Adding the revive mechanic into Firefight. I think the respawn timer should be lengthened a lot rather than removed completely, with the addition of revives to promote teamwork and a bit more urgency. Because atm it feels like out I go.. pew pew.. died.. try again.. etc.

Can you complete the objective in under 5 minutes. This makes it more arcade-y and better for matchmaking with randoms. This is unlike the survival aspect of ODST firefight, something much more difficult to do well with randoms.

A revival system forces you to be tactical and stick with your teammates. At that point they can even incorporate a set number of lives and make it more tactical. Lives + Time so you can't just Run & Gun your way to victory
 
Just had some soldiers hijack my ONI warthog due to a bad random driver. They proceeded to kill most of the team with it lol.

I've won both my games so far so I'd agree it's maybe a bit too easy right now if it's meant to be challenging, but I don't mind having a game mode which genuinely allows for a more laid back approach. Kind of like bot stomps in LoL or something.

In general I'd just like something more akin to OG firefight, even if it wasn't in matchmaking. Not feeling how scripted this is. Feels more like a campaign mission rerun than anything. It's certainly its own spin though, and it'll give the PvE mode people want and need.

That's really all I want out of WZ firefight

I don't want this to be tactical at all. Just let me use my fun vehicles and weapons stress free lol

multiple difficulty options is the way to go IMO

I like it, but it just doesn't have that desperate feel that I am used to in horde modes.

They should introduce some barrier, fixed turret reqs, and have games where they replace vehicles. I want to be fighting for survival, not steamrolling every single game.

I think people in Halo 5 aren't used to Watchers in general. They're far more rare and the healing abilities are certainly less noticeable than their former Halo 4 respawn action.

I'm actually gonna' max out my watcher slayer commendation with Warzone, so that's nice :)

Alternatively, just some sort of boost for not dying. Say you have 3 "lives" and after you've died that many times you respawn slower, don't get a boost when you spawn in, something of that nature. I'd love for there to be some in-game incentive for conserving lives beyond just scorekeeping and getting to the objective faster.

This is addictive and fun and I can use my cool REQs mostly without worry of them being immediately lost or given to help the enemy. I've go into "just one more" mode very easily with this and it would be awesome with all the levels. It's cool as what it is.

The scout warhogs are definitely awesome for the ones where you kill soldiers or some other ground creatures. I'm gonna get those splatter commendations. The hydra should be really useful for clearing groups as well, but I haven't tried it yet.

I feel like it would be cool for REQ energy to accelerate faster. That way you can use more of the 2 energy guns in the early rounds without worrying about it borking your ability to bust out a big vehicle if 3 Wardens comes up. Those kind of mental holdups could keep people from having as much fun/using as much variety as is available to them.

They have a small score boost for completing each round faster. It would be cool to get multipliers for like Survived for X amount of minutes/rounds. Killed X0 without dying.

I look forward to people trying to beat this w/o dying or w/o using any REQs outside of loadout.

Is it all prometheans in the beta? Also genuinely shook at how you didn't need to use all your rares just to win.

Seriously, I used nothing and still won with a team randoms without much difficulty.

Firefight is fun. Goldmine for getting enemy commendations and now killing Prometheans for the SC should be a cake walk.

I kinda hope they create original maps for firefight in the future, though. Varied objectives and enemies would be cool, too.

Remake some Reach FF maps but bigger maybe?
 
Rather than increase the difficulty across the board for everyone I'd rather they just add difficulty tiers so people could play that if they want. Give people the option.... Options are good. And then just reward those that play higher difficulty levels with more RP and XP...

Things need tweaks: some kind of direction being injected into some rounds would be good. Kill X of X is OK, but perhaps some kind of 'and plant bomb at Y' would be good too? Just to mix it up a bit.

I think it's very much on a good path though. Be eager to read other's suggestions etc.

Bomb planting sounds fun, although I'm not sure where on the map they would drop the bomb. More "defend" type objectives would also be nice, that's the most exciting one since you actually can fail.

I'm enjoying it a lot overall already, it's great to be able to whack out ONI 'hogs and get guaranteed good use out of them!

Aye, dunno where, but conceivably they could integrate Arena mode objectives as extra things to do. Perhaps in a harder difficulty version of Warzone?

Eh, just spitballing. The mode is fun as it is, but you know us Halo fans, we always want more :D

Looks like it's just a bunch of single use Legendaries. :/

10 single use legendaries with one perm ultra rare or higher unlock.

I personally don't think it's worth it. 10 single use is pointless to me and 80000 for a perm unlock is way to steep when I have commendation packs to buy

I'm feeling the same way. i'm too greedy with my reqs as is to use any for firefight right now. if i had everything unlocked, sure, I'd totally go to town with reqs, but I have a long way to go with my req cards and will be selling mostly everything i have to buy more gold packs.

I opened a gold pack just before going to work this evening and got the prestige AR skin (fugly lol) and another Mark VI helmet. Now that I'm through silver packs, my interest has changed almost entirely toward weapon certs. Can't wait to have better options in regular warzone.

There are too many things that can go wrong with one use reqs. Not worth risking an unexpected early death, or someone stealing your vehicle, or the game ending sooner than expected. I've definitely had games of warzone where I had just called in a req and before I was even out of the req menu the game ended. Wasted.
