Wish I wasn't so excited for this collection. I don't even have an Xbox One and won't have one for the forseeable future.
This'll be the first Halo game that I won't get to play on it's release date in 10 years.
I know the feeling. How out of your reach is a console right now? Only because there are a lot of great deals on right now. I mean it's crazy, less than 11 months from launch, and I got a brand new white Xbox One, for essentially 199+tax. I know that's not chump change or cheap necessarily, but compared to what I spent on Xbox 360 it's been a steal.
Believe me, I didn't even want an Xbox One, but there was just no way I would miss the launch months of MCC or the Halo 5 beta.
The times are just super dumb. I don't want to play something weird like shaolin rockets, haloGAF customs are better.

It's a gross oversimplification. "343 people praised CE and then made Halo 4, so they're manipulating us." C'monnnnnn. Yes, PR always sneaks its way between developer <--> audience, but that doesn't devalue the words of individual people within 343, nor does it mean that they didn't think they were handling Halo with care and passion with Halo 4.

There are times when I really enjoy reading the HaloGAF threads, and then there are times when some of the comments make me want to close my browser and never look at GAF again. Some of things said about 343i and Halo 4 on here really are bang out of order.....

I once told a Bungie employee that I din't understand what happened with Reach at Gamescom.

Madness - Already pointed out my own hypocrisy (am good that way) but sometimes I just feel folks need a reminder that real people work hard to create this franchise we all love, I get some people have issues with aspects of 4, direction etc but sometimes they over step the mark (IMO obviously) with the things they say. I suppose having been a mod (years ago) it's hard to switch it off at times.
Halo 5 Cinematic? Interesting to see the Elite dawning the Halo 2 Armor. There's also another Spartan on the right with a BR.
Looks like Blur so probably the H2A epilogue.

That was an incredible documentary, very well presented, the execution was flawless and they knew the exact notes to hit on. Seriously, 343 is on their game and that little playout of the monks without interruption was on point. I could go on and on, but I'll stop myself; it was a great watch.

Yeah it was really amazing. This is something I was dying to see. A sort of a behind the scenes type ViDoc and they knocked it out of the park with this. Just crazy seeing all the different cogs in the machine that make up this Master Chief Collection game. It's just crazy to think about it. Making sure everyone is on point with what they are responsible for.
Seeing all the ways Halo 2 impacted not only Halo fans but gamers as well. I still remember launch like it was yesterday and it's been ten years. Great work by 343 Industries. Whether or not the gameplay of Halo 5 is what I'd want is irrelevant to the fact that I'm certain they'll put their heart into making a great game.

And shaolin rockets was only one possible suggestion, and likely the least of which we'd actually play, considering I mentioned default slayer and objective gametimes first and foremost, and said MAYBE the other thing. PS - Also what exactly do you mean by haloGAF customs? Because by posting here in the haloGAF thread, and trying to get people for a customs lobby, that kinda makes it a haloGAF customs thing by default. Unless you're on some elitist kick about only certain people organizing these things or creating the gametypes for them. A customs night is merely a night people get together and play customs lobbies, whether or not they use default gametypes is irrelevant.

I didn't see much of a difference between mine and yours though TBH. I mean where I used "---" you used the bulletin point. What's the shortcut key for that? I don't mind changing it if it's easier to read.
Edit - Changed the format for the sessions in that thread to be similar to what you suggested. It's easier to see the session itself amongst the rest of the text in the thread now. Let me know what you think. Although it may be an exercise in futility if members only give a damn when the elite few attempt to organize customs nights (not referring you you Kittens, your attitude is awesome).

I was just saying they are passionate and dedicated to their game. Now if this game is what the Halo Community as a whole wants is yet to be seen, but I am really interested in what they are passionate about.
It's like I said in the Bayo 1 Wii U thread about Hideki Kamiya: Sure he includes questionably dumb shit like cheap QTE deaths and weird camera movements, but you can tell he really loves video games of the past and he seems passionate about what he works on.
I don't have to like someone's views on something to like how passionate they are.
HaloGaf seems to have a nice balance of people being positive and negative though. Makes the place complete.
