LOL, what makes you say that, the throngs of plebs playing like the vids that were just posted?

How about the "Grand Theft Halo" one (jack five vehicles in one match)?

I couldn't recall, but was this playlist specific, or could it be accomplished on ANY matchmaking game, or even could it be done with customs?

It complicates movement while adding nothing but flair. It's sacrificing movement for a mini parkour animation. Being able to shoot while hanging would make it a lot more interesting, but I'm pretty confident I wouldn't want that ability in Halo.

WHY DOESN'T ANYONE CHOOSE THE ONLY RANGED WEAPON THEY GIVE YOU IN HALO 2 ANNIVERSARY LOADOUTS?!?! It pains me how we still don't know how how many shots to kill is the Magnum.

Who are these players? Let's just put them all on an island with SMG starts and be done with it, and with motion tracker.

Why spreading misinformation? :/

1. This are customs. Not matchmaking.
2. This is pre-patch.
3. There aren't even "Loadouts". Just Weapon sets. And if you pick a Plasma Rifle as your start weapon ... Well, lol, your own fault :p
4. Rest assured in that Pro & eSports playlists everything is just like you expect.

I was under the impression that reviewers were playing a playlist. If these are customs, does this mean custom gametypes have weapon sets and killcam enabled by default? They can call them what they want, it's not the nomenclature of "weapon set" or "loadout" that's the issue here. Not sure what the patch has to do with it, either.

That's great and all that there's pro playlists, but it doesn't make bad settings in the other playlists okay.

So...color me as a "heretic", but I think the kill cams are pretty cool. A lot of people complain about the wait to spawn in Halo MP, so I think this will keep their poor attention spans.

*shrug* I like the old way best, but I can see the appeal. Doesn't appear to break anything.

i dont mind killcams, they're the least intrusive change. i just think the default should be the traditional death camera, the killcam should be something you can toggle to.

What do you mean with "default" in custom games? They are called custom games for a reason.

I wrote about the patch because I wouldn't judge over the framerate until that patch hits. We already know it will fix many things.

Regarding "bad settings" ... Well ... You know, opinions ... :)

I'm in full agreement with you on this, and I've been playing Halo since 2002.

Have they added anything like a button press (X, D-pad, etc) to skip killcam and switch to area deathcam?

Well, now the people that don't call out on their death screen will have something to look at. It probably won't make any real difference, good players in good playlists will still prefer to look at their death cam and call out for teammates. So long as that is still possible.

I like the idea of a game winning kill cam, or even objective win cam (10 seconds of the final flag run for example) at the end of the game. Adds some excitement and clarity to the end of the game. I see no reason not to do that specifically.

Fuck Complex for literally any gametype ever. The spawn points are absurd.

Also that IGN list of maps is so bad. Monolith and Anchor 9 toward the very bottom. Go home IGN, you're drunk. Just because none of your friends ever bought the DLC so you never got to play it in matchmaking doesn't make it a bad map.

So... Is the patch out yet? The communication about it has been pretty bad, and there is so much room for things to go wrong with that come launch.

Sadly in this day and age, yes.

I see a lot of games being showcased on twitch by people who have never even played the series before (not talking about this streamer, but others) and to me it seems like a waste of effort.
