Yeah- Your average CTF (and objective game, for that matter) was awful. I think the changes will negatively effect the very, very top notch games. But when the bulk majority of your games were broken, you have to fix it. I think the changes will definitely bump up your average game a couple pegs.
The thing about all of these changes- without them, the population will probably suck and that will poorly influence gameplay. I may not love all of them, but I think in the long run it'll be a net gain.

Regarding ranks, I'll try to hold judgement until I know what this stat tracking involves. I got kicked offline so frequently in Arena, and only once out of it (by Arena players w/ a grudge). I can understand why 343 found ranks to be so toxic. I just figured 343 would have found an alternative beyond just stripping it out.

I like CTF myself, but just thinking about it normally somebody is left behind to watch the flag and normally the enemy spawns back at there base after being killed so unless the team is just really bad people always knew where you were.
Now the only problem i see with the waypoint was if they did classic CTF. If the flag has to be at the spawn in order to capture it that waypoint needs to go.

I don't hate anyone on here, it's just annoying when I want to read discussion on why people like/dislike a new feature and instead of discussion it's multiple one-off sarcastic lines, and then attacks on people who have the opposite opinion.
