Yeah, I totally agree. The Halo 4 BR looks fantastic, but it sounds really grating. "Rusty bicycle chain" is always the metaphor I use to describe it.

Why wouldn't he? Aside from the suckers that got the Map Pass, what incentive is there to get the next DLC pack? The sought-after honor to be one of the 500 cool kids in the Majestic playlist?
343i can try to force the DLC down people's throats by trying to turn the base playlists into a ghetto, but at this point they would be pushing on a string.
So a YouTuber by the name of PaulB0991 isn't liking Halo 4 so much he has quit it, and says if the TU is a failure, he is quitting Halo for good. This is a guy who played Reach often and enjoyed it somewhat.
Really shakes me to the core to be honest. I see more and more signs that we have finally got to that cliff edge with Halo and are teetering on the edge.

Eh, DLC sales for Halo games have been pretty bad for a while, and the DLC packs haven't changed at all despite the rest of AAA MP games delivering DLC that gives you more than 3 maps for $10 and nothing else.
Not much, I regret purchasing the season pass.

People happily buy terrible things against their own self-interest all the time. There's exceptions and limits, of course, but it's not unusual for people to voluntarily and repeatedly get ripped off. People are going to buy Halo 5 in droves, just like they did with every previous Halo game.
Now people skipping DLC -- that's more feasible to me. 343 is continuing the legacy of terrible DLC implementation.

Yea whenever I've talked to people in life about Halo they say the game stinks too. Then I instantly have this connection with them.

Just got my 50,000 exp and my LASO emblem. For such a huge task youd think the emblem would look a little better. The toggles couldve looked more like the Campaign difficulty swords
Naw it's way to cold out there. Sounds a bit over the top now that I read it but when I think about why this is such a big deal to me it makes sense that I would react that way.
Halo CE was my first Halo game, my first xbox game and the reason I made the jump from Playstation to Xbox. Halo 2 was the first game I played on Xbox Live and gave me some of the best times I've had over the internet. Halo 3 was the reason I got my own Xbox account and my own 360 and was the highlight of the 360 for me and I'm pretty sure it holds the title of "most time spent on a game ever" for me.
It's sad how much of my life has involved this franchise. It's sadder to see it torn apart and fail like this.

Hah, I've talked with a few people who think Halo 4 is the best Halo ever. A little part of me dies every time.

Maybe. Halo 4 appears to be doing some significant damage to the brand. 343i can try a mea culpa save by claiming they've found Jesus and will "return to the roots" of Halo but they've already been trying that line without a lot of success.
Halo 5 or Halo: Spartan Ops or whatever the next title is will certainly have a far more cynical player base; although I suppose many people don't care as long as the campaign is decent (understandable) and they get at least one-two weeks of casual multiplayer out of it. And what other major IP does Microsoft control that they can base keystone marketing on until next gen? Not many options so advertising dollars are guaranteed to some extent even if Halo 4 falls off the activity chart and the online population is swimming down with the likes of Crysis 2 MP.

Yeah it is. I can see him going to Gears and broadening his channels content. Not a bad thing, but it shows just how bad Halo 4 is.
On another note, Waypoint still sucks. The site needs simplifying and toning down so it loads fast and isn't a horror to navigate. Really starting to find the weekly bulletin to be a chore to read and a disappointment every week.

Can I ask where they are getting this pool of questions from? The Bulletin did nothing to answer most questions I see on numerous boards.
Also no FFA being implemented. Loved Throwback FFA to bits, even if it was alongside Halo 4's mechanics.

When the people who make the game put out a bulletin glorifying camping it makes it really easy to see why I don't like their vision of Halo.
Infinity CTF? lol, good grief. Infinity Slayer is something I never want to play again. Got voted into playing it on the Community Forge playlist in Shutout, and it was, as expected, god awful because it gave people overshields, Snipers, and damage boost. My best options? SAW, plasma grenades, and speed boost. Brilliant game mode. I stopped going into Infinity Slayer's playlist for a reason and don't plan on entering BTB at all, because of it.
Stuff it in the trash next to Orbital. It is awful. Now they're pushing players to get more kills in CTF to promote more of this? Flag Slayer all over again. I am always looking for reasons to play but I'm not sure there is right now.
