might I be the first to say "RIP Halo"?
You've been beaten by all the people that said it when the Reach Beta came out.
might I be the first to say "RIP Halo"?
might I be the first to say "RIP Halo"?
Made me chuckle abit
Not adding in Campaign/SPOPS theater via TU? I can't hold all these surprisedes that I don't have
I know Paul, loves Halo. Shame the game did that to him.

Amazing.

Ding ding ding. I know for a fact that there are people there who know, love, and understand Halo MP as it should be.
even in the case halo 4 was a perfect game the black screens while scoreboard is changing ruins the fucking experience.
it's not just me, I ask random players all the damn time and seems like its a fairly common problem. not to mention i see players that look afk only for them to come back and saynthey were black screen. only time I ever got black screens in reach was host migrations.
what the fuck is this game doing.
half my fucking total deaths are due to lag or black screens while some players are playing. what does 343 expect me to do move to the US? lol

So, in April, on the month of my birthday, we'll finally be getting visible, skill based, 1-50 ranks per playlist? Goes without saying that I'd have preferred them last November, especially given that we requested them repeatedly since the game's announcement, but I'll put that frustration to one side and say thank you.
Depending on how much is learnt and expanded upon from the community test playlist, which I'm definitely enjoying, there is a glimmer of hope.
Just caught Three Henry's recap a few pages back, I take it the ranks are Waypoint only, then?Visible? Read the bulletin again
I'm going to point out that the lack of "You guys are right! MLG forever!" does not equal no information. So yet another bulletin with no update on anything worth a damn. At this point I think it's safe to write off the multiplayer. At least there is still campaign and Spartan Ops.

god i'm cute

First off I'm not a big MLG fan. There was no real information. You damn well know it when you'e adding a nice large chunk dedicated to how you love to camp in game.
This bulletin had more actual information than any of the bulletins since release.
The gunplay by far.
A quick poll:
What is - for you - the best thing about Halo 4?
(It can be overall, or specifying, this in campaign, this in multiplayer, this song of the OST, etc)
I want to say it's self serving since they said they're making the halo they want to play, but they keep trying to fix it every time a certain community freaks out. This game isn't what they want to do and it isn't anything close to what we want to play.343 has to be the most tone deaf developer in the entire industry. And I'm not saying that like "oh they're not listening to HaloGAF", it's more like... who are they doing this stuff for?

Unfortunately, the Infinity playlist population. That's where the 'big' numbers are, so 343 most likely sees it as where to base their tweaks to the game from.343 has to be the most tone deaf developer in the entire industry. I get new maps in big team and team slayer all the time. Why wouldn't he? Aside from the suckers that got the Map Pass, what incentive is there to get the next DLC pack? The sought-after honor to be one of the 500 cool kids in the Majestic playlist?
343i can try to force the DLC down people's throats by trying to turn the base playlists into a ghetto, but at this point they would be pushing on a string.
haha
Halo RIP in peace
All these so called bulletins and how poor of a game Halo 4 is, I ain't even mad anymore. This is just sad and pathetic on 343i end.
Hopefully that doesn't mean that the current CTF will go away
Yeah it is. I can see him going to Gears and broadening his channels content. Not a bad thing, but it shows just how bad Halo 4 is.
On another note, Waypoint still sucks. The site needs simplifying and toning down so it loads fast and isn't a horror to navigate. Really starting to find the weekly bulletin to be a chore to read and a disappointment every week.
Extra annoyed at this:
"I hope you found answers to a few of your most asked questions..."
Can I ask where they are getting this pool of questions from? The Bulletin did nothing to answer most questions I see on numerous boards.
Also no FFA being implemented. Loved Throwback FFA to bits, even if it was alongside Halo 4's mechanics.
Why does this game start a match when there's only 4 players. The JIP system doesn't work well enough for people to hop in before you win a 3 on 1 CTF match.
:lolI must say, as peak populations drop like a rock and Halo 4 continues to descend down the XBL activity ranks, I thought it was great that B.S. Angel spent the first half of the bulletin describing how she camps in Halo 4. That was very reassuring. I appreciate the strong post-release vision 343 has for this game, it makes me want to keep playing. I Trust Them.
Maybe. Halo 4 appears to be doing some significant damage to the brand. 343i can try a mea culpa save by claiming they've found Jesus and will "return to the roots" of Halo but they've already been trying that line without a lot of success.
Halo 5 or Halo: Spartan Ops or whatever the next title is will certainly have a far more cynical player base; although I suppose many people don't care as long as the campaign is decent (understandable) and they get at least one-two weeks of casual multiplayer out of it. And what other major IP does Microsoft control that they can base keystone marketing on until next gen? Not many options so advertising dollars are guaranteed to some extent even if Halo 4 falls off the activity chart and the online population is swimming down with the likes of Crysis 2 MP.
