Should encourage the viewers to create good content. Now they're just going to demand pros to do it and won't do shit themselves. If pros just create content for the sake of creating it, it's just going to be half assed. Sure it will benefit them in some form or another if they do it, but it's not their duty. Up until 2 years ago, Daigo was very reserved. FGC didn't expect him to do shit when the scene was 1/10th the size it is now. Other members (non pros) stepped up and now their tournaments are bigger than ever. Daigo now does things, and it has benefited him very well, but that was his decision.
Where are the grassroot events? The community expects everyone to hand them everything. They expect Gamma Gamers and The Lan Network to provide a streamed lan if MLG doesn't pick it up. Seriously? The damn gears community pulled off a grass roots event.
