Silly as it is, I always found it tough to go with the Mk V(b), especially in a Steel like that, as it felt like that was Thom's Six. Always felt weird seeing it on B-312.
Pretty late on the response, but what the hell.

To me that seems a little backwards and I'll tell you why:



That's not only how I first saw Six, but that's how the world first saw Six. Forget Thom wearing this armor, that live action trailer didn't even exist at this point. That image of Six looking down at his helmet with the UA attachment and everything is ingrained in me and will always be Noble Six. I'll change my armor around every now and then but I always go back to this "default", everything else just feels like a knock-off.

Both should be in the armoy. I would use the golden cod piece for my Spartan.

Also, there is a giant gaping hole in the floor in the middle of your Warhorse map. Otherwise, this looks pretty awesome. November 6th... so far away.

I can just imagine getting an overkill in halo 4 that consists of 4 headshots. That'll be displaying on your screen for about 10 seconds.
 
so can you even get exterminations in halo 4 with the instant respawning?

It sounds like in objective games there will be a respawn timer so they're probably still possible there. For slayer I'm guessing you'd have to kill the other team so fast that they didn't even know the were dying OR they would have to take their time in the "select loadout" menu after their death.

Instant respawn is still really disappointing to me. It was disheartening to hear 343 folks in the latest Sparkast talking about "speeding up gameplay" by adding instant respawns. A lot of people wanted the game to play faster than Reach, but that's not what we meant...

But, oh well. They probably won't go back on their decision. Hopefully it won't play out too terribly.
 
So I'm thinking about spartan ops. How is it they can pump out new content like that each week? Is there an end to it? Would they would be done with it before the game is released or is it DLC that comes out each week for a long period of time that the game is out? It doesn't seem very possible that people could create missions like that on a weekly basis unless you had a massive team dedicated to only that, so how exactly is that going to work?

It sounds amazing but it doesn't seem like it would work :/

Same. Six is clad in Mjolnir with that UA attachment, those PARA-knees (I think they're called) and an UGPS. Damn the rest. :lol

Maybe. I like to sprint, jump and melee. Ergonomical awkwardness.
 
343 called it themselves when they described how a player would feel a weapon was weaker than it was if the attatched sound effect wasn't bombastic enough. I really hope that Conan clip really did morph the BR sound into the wet fart in a retirement home that we heard because my word did it sound weak.

The UGPS is a mystery to me. I mean, Six was clearly intended to have it as evidenced by the cutscene at the beginning of Exodus when he looks at his wrist before marching off. And yet, I've never seen it on any render or promotional image of Six. The only time I've ever seen the UGPS on Six is on the McFarlane action figure, which makes sense since they would probably need character models pretty early on when designing the figures. At some point before the rest of the world saw Six I guess Bungie had decided to remove the UGPS.

It's very similar to turning the rumble feature off on a controller, which most competitive players do. It makes everything feel a lot weaker, but that doesn't stop players from doing it. I understand what you're saying, though. I look forward to the sound effects as long as they aren't an attempt to distract from the game's more serious flaws.
I'm just being a negative nancy and expecting 343 to cover unbalanced weapons with really nice sound ;)

But if they do nail the sound and the balance, it will be amazing.

Are the enviroments in Spartan Ops new or recycl3ed from Multiplayer / Campaign? Has it been clarified anywhere?

With my daughter and work its hard for me to keep up to speed.

I am almost sure they are completely isolated, but they may take areas from the Campaign, because apparently they are parallel (or were they?).

The gameinformer video says there will be new locations. The gameinformer article mentions much of the backstory of the Infinity will be told via Spartan Ops, so there are bound to be locations that Chief will not or just briefly visits.
