Iv used the X11's in the past and just for arguments sakes id say the sound quality on the x11's is virtually identical to that of budget generic brand headphones.
Even the higher end stuff has pretty average quality i own the x4's and a friend owns the x41's and the sound is not leap and bounds above my £30 2.1 audio system i bought for my PC years ago.

Astro A40s. I've used Turtle beaches, and Tritton AXpros. Astros are the best (of what I've used) IMO.
Expensive as balls, but they are certainly the best I've ever used, in general not just gaming to be hoenst.
I've tried out a few different headsets, and astros were the best ones by a good margin. I use them for other things than gaming, so they were definitely worth the price for me.
I should also mention that the astro customer service is outstanding. If any wires get a short or anything like that, they'll send you a replacement out for free right away.

The build quality, durability, and customization are outstanding on my Astro A40 Audio System. The mixamp is a must-have for any good gaming headset setup. I will definitely go back to Astro on my next relevant purchase.

It's not about that though. I don't think anything current should be spoiled in this thread, spoiler text or no. I usually don't say anything because it doesn't seem to be much of a big deal (everyone watches at a specific time as it's on TV - Prometheus isn't out in a lot of places yet). This movie however is a big deal for a lot of people, (in this thread there are a lot of people seriously hyped for it) it's hardly fair for people in this thread to have to make an effort to avoid spoilers for a completely different thing - before it is even out!
Spoiler tags in this thread aren't consistently used and a lot of people are used to clicking each spoiler here. If even one person is spoiled, your comment isn't worth it.
There is another thread SPECIFICALLY for the purpose of discussing Prometheus - what benefit to you is there by posting it in here rather than in the official thread (and linking to it from here)? None! What are the costs? Potential spoiling for a lot of people!
Is it worth it? No!! It's unreasonable to everyone else who is wanting to watch it and selfish.

one more question, what's the point of the mixamp? and are the Siberia v2 have 5.1 channels?
Better sound and have control over audio and voice levels. It's well worth the money, I've had mine since 2008 and it works great still.

You won't get a 'real' 5.1 headset that's worth using - pretty much all headsets are stereo. The mixamp gives you increased control like Cyren said, but it also will simulate surround sound for you in stereo headsets.
